【摘要】：随着各国间交流的日益频繁，文化的传播引起了译界的广泛关注。译界普遍认为，翻译不仅是两种语言之间的转换，更是两种文化之间的交流。鉴于文化词翻译的重要性和并不乐观的现状，作者运用了基于达尔文进化论的文化传播理论——模因论，作为系统理论基础对文化词的翻译做出探讨。拟研究的基本素材取自Gone with the wind的傅东华译本《飘》和黄怀仁、朱攸若的合译本《乱世佳人》，结合模因论对文化词进行定义。至于文化区分层次、文化词分类，则在理论上和逻辑思维形式上保证与奈达文化分类标准形式和意义上的一致性，并系统地将原作品中的文化词分为生态文化词、物质文化词、社会文化词、宗教文化词和语言文化词五类。在模因论理论框架内和模因论理论研究领域，结合成功模因标准，对各类文化词的翻译过程和翻译实际效果进行了描述性研究。研究证实，宏观上，文化词的翻译要遵循明晰性、简易性、一致性、自我维护性的普遍性模因评价标准。微观上，在文化词的翻译方法上可采用直译、直译加注或语境说明、音译、音译加注、替代、意译、省略以及考略语境等方法和策略。从宏观和微观两个视角展开对翻译的描写与研究，事实证明这些方法和策略均是文化词翻译的可行途径，能够非常方便地析出文学艺术作品文化词汇负载的文化信息，从而满足目标语读者语言交际目的，方便目标语读者更好地予以理解、接受和认可。由于模因论运用到翻译理论研究与实践还只是一个新兴的课题，许多问题有待进一步明确和解决，在研究的过程和论文文字形成过程中也有明显的表现，如何使模因理论能够对翻译过程与结果进行科学的描写和准确的界定，是今后研究的重点，，也是论文现在还无法作更深研究的不足之处。
