【摘要】：中西方的隐喻研究历史已有两千年。在传统的隐喻理论当中,隐喻只被认为是一种修辞手法,对于隐喻翻译的研究也局限于从修辞的角度展开。然而在20世纪80年代,莱考夫和约翰逊在《我们赖以生存的隐喻》一书中提出了概念隐喻理论之后,隐喻不再被认为只是一种语言现象,而是一种普遍的思维和认知方式。许多学者逐渐开始关注隐喻的认知价值,并在这一领域取得长足的进步。作为莫言的代表著作,《丰乳肥臀》一经发表就受到了来自东西方学者的关注。从概念隐喻的角度来看,《丰乳肥臀》中运用了大量的隐喻来构建其思想体系,从而给《丰乳肥臀》的研究及其翻译研究提供了新的视角。在《丰乳肥臀》中包含了四种概念隐喻,即乳房隐喻、动物隐喻、情感隐喻以及特定文化隐喻。其中,大量存在的乳房隐喻和动物隐喻为丰富刻画小说中的生命主题起着重要的作用。因此,本论文根据概念隐喻理论,分析这些隐喻在构建和帮助理解莫言在《丰乳肥臀》中对生命主题的言语表现所起到的积极作用,并探索这些功能及作用在其英译本中如何实现。本研究分析了葛浩文的英译本以期发现这些概念隐喻在译文中如何被翻译,是否体现其原意,以及其中所运用的翻译策略。同时,该研究尝试总结译者使用不同的翻译策略的成因。本文分为五章,以研究《丰乳肥臀》中概念隐喻的英译。第一章为对本论文的总体介绍,包括了综述国内外在《丰乳肥臀》英译方面的研究情况,指出该领域研究的空间及本论文的创新意义。第二章阐明了隐喻翻译以及乳房隐喻与动物隐喻的概念隐喻基础。第三章和第四章为本文核心部分,具体研究《丰乳肥臀》中概念隐喻的英译。在这两章中,通过研究译文中概念隐喻的翻译的仔细研究,作者分析了葛浩文是否准确传达了原文的含义,概括了所选英译本中翻译这些概念隐喻所用的策略,并探究了《丰乳肥臀》英译本中译者的翻译策略的产生原因。第五章为结论,总结本论文的研究发现,并指出本研究的局限性。
[Abstract]:The history of metaphor studies in China and the West has been two thousand years ago. In the traditional metaphor theory, metaphor is only regarded as a rhetorical device, and the study of metaphorical translation is limited from the perspective of rhetoric. However, in 1980s, after Lakoff and Johnson put forward the theory of conceptual metaphor in "metaphor" we live in a book, metaphor is no longer considered just a linguistic phenomenon, but a common way of thinking and cognition. Many scholars have gradually begun to pay attention to the cognitive value of metaphor and have made great progress in this field. As a representative of Mo Yan, "rich breast and fat hips" was published and received the attention of scholars from East and West. From the perspective of conceptual metaphor, a lot of metaphors have been used to build the system of mind in the breast and fat buttock, which provides a new perspective for the research and translation research of breast and fat buttock. There are four conceptual metaphors in "breast fat and fat hips", namely, breast metaphor, animal metaphor, Emotional Metaphor and specific cultural metaphor. Among them, a large number of existing breast metaphors and animal metaphors play an important role in portrayed the theme of life in the novel. Therefore, based on the conceptual metaphor theory, this paper analyzes the positive role of these metaphors in constructing and helping Mo Yan understand the speech expression of life theme in the breast and fat buttock, and explores how these functions and functions can be achieved in their English translation. This study analyzes Ge Haowen's English version in order to find out how these conceptual metaphors are translated in the translation, whether they reflect their original intention and the translation strategies employed. At the same time, the study tries to summarize the causes of the use of different translation strategies. This article is divided into five chapters to study the English translation of conceptual metaphors in "rich milk and fat buttocks". The first chapter is a general introduction to this thesis, including a review of the research on the English translation of breast enlargement and buttocks at home and abroad, pointing out the space for research in this field and the innovative significance of this thesis. The second chapter expounds the metaphor translation and the conceptual metaphor basis of the breast metaphor and the animal metaphor. The third and fourth chapters are the core part of this paper. The English translation of conceptual metaphor in "rich milk and fat hips" is studied in detail. In the two chapter, through careful study of metaphor translation in translation studies, the author analyzes whether Ge Haowen accurately convey the meaning of the original text, summarizes the selected English versions of translation for these conceptual strategies, and explores the causes of "translation" in translating the buxom translation strategies. The fifth chapter is the conclusion, summarizes the research findings of this paper, and points out the limitations of this study.
