《救生艇救援行动》翻译实践报告

【摘要】:本文是一篇基于本人翻译实践的翻译报告。翻译原文是一部儿童文学作品《救生艇救援行动》,作者是苏格兰儿童文学小说家罗伯特·迈克尔·巴兰坦。小说主要讲述了在一次惊险的海难中,博因斯船长和他的儿子以及其他一些水手救了船老板韦伯斯特先生的独女,但韦伯斯特先生却恩将仇报的故事。小说共有八个章节,笔者选取了前四章节作为此次翻译实践材料,并在此基础上写出该翻译报告。本篇报告以德国功能主义翻译目的论为理论指导。因为中英文之间存在差异,所以在翻译的过程中,笔者在词汇、句法、修辞三个层面遇到了一些翻译难点,如方言词,拟声词,长难句,被动语态,拟人以及明喻等的处理。在目的论及其三原则的指导下,笔者选用直译,意译,音译,增译等翻译策略来解决所遇到的翻译难题,以期达到译文的翻译目的。本篇翻译报告共分为五个章节。第一章,任务描述,包括对《救生艇救援》这篇小说作者,小说类型、特点以及翻译任务意义的简介;第二章,翻译过程简介,包括译前准备工作,译中所遇困难(包括词汇、句法、修辞三个层面),以及译后校对和润色;第三章,理论框架,着重介绍了目的论三原则,即:目的原则,连贯原则,忠实原则,并简要讨论了目的论用于儿童文学翻译中的可行性;第四章,案例分析,即以具体实例,演示笔者如何在目的论的指导下,选用合适的翻译策略解决词汇、句法、修辞三个方面的翻译难点;第五章,实践总结,包括笔者对此次翻译实践经验和得失的总结反思,对儿童文学翻译所提的一些建议,希望对同类型的小说翻译有所帮助。
[Abstract]:This paper is a translation report based on my translation practice. The translation of the original text is a children's literature work "rescue operations in lifeboats" by Robert Michael Ballantine, a Scottish novelist of children's literature. The story of a thrilling shipwreck, Captain Boynes, his son and some other sailors saved the only daughter of Mr. Webster, the boatman, but Mr. Webster gave the story of revenge. There are eight chapters in the novel. The author chooses the first four chapters as the translation practice material and writes the translation report on this basis. This report is guided by the German functionalist Skopos theory, because of the differences between Chinese and English. Therefore, in the process of translation, the author has encountered some difficulties in translation at the three levels of vocabulary, syntax and rhetoric, such as dialect words, onomatopoeia words, long difficult sentences and passive voice. Under the guidance of Skopos theory and its three principles, the author chooses translation strategies such as literal translation, free translation, transliteration and incremental translation to solve the translation problems encountered. In order to achieve the translation purpose of the translation, this translation report is divided into five chapters. The first chapter is a description of the task, including a brief introduction to the author, the type, characteristics and the meaning of the translation task. A brief introduction to the translation process, including pre-translation preparation, difficulties encountered in translation (including lexical, syntactic and rhetorical aspects, as well as post-translation proofreading and retouching; Chapter III, theoretical framework), focuses on the Skopos three principles, namely Skopos, Skopos, Skopos, Skopos, Skopos, Skopos, Skopos and Skopos. The feasibility of Skopos theory in children's literature translation is briefly discussed. Chapter four, case study, illustrates how the author is guided by Skopos theory. Choosing appropriate translation strategies to solve the translation difficulties in three aspects: vocabulary, syntax and rhetoric. Chapter five, the summary of practice, including the author's reflection on the experience and loss of translation, and some suggestions for children's literature translation. It is hoped that it will be helpful to the translation of the same type of novel.
