关于《波利先生传》（节选）的英汉翻译实践报告

【摘要】：本报告的翻译对象节选自《波利先生传》前三章。《波利先生传》是英国著名小说家赫伯特·乔治·威尔斯(1866-1946)的代表作。该作品语言具有以下特点:第一,语言个性化强烈,文字简洁干练;第二,语言幽默,又暗含讽刺;第三,语言形象滑稽,同时引人入胜;第四,语言夸张戏谑,运用悲剧喜写。本报告从研究对象、相关研究背景和意义导入,进行案例分析,其中包括对源文本的分析,翻译准备以及翻译过程概述,然后分别从词汇、句法两个角度论述笔者在翻译中所遇到的问题,如文化负载词翻译,对话语句翻译等。随后基于功能对等理论,重点探讨了针对以上两个层次问题,处理该文本所需要的翻译策略,包括词性转换法、增译法、切分法、句子重组法等,最后笔者对此次翻译进行总结,以期为以后翻译工作提供相应经验与教训。
[Abstract]:The subjects of this report are excerpted from the first three chapters of the Biography of Mr. Polly, the masterpiece of Herbert George Wellesley, a famous British novelist.The language of the work has the following characteristics: first, the language is highly individualized, the text is concise and able; second, the language is humorous, but also implied irony; third, the language image is funny at the same time; and fourth, the language is exaggerated and playful.Use tragedy to write.This report is introduced from the study subjects, relevant research background and significance, case analysis, including the analysis of the source text, translation preparation and translation process overview, and then from the vocabulary,From two syntactic perspectives, the author discusses the problems encountered in translation, such as culture-loaded words translation, conversational sentence translation and so on.Then, based on the functional equivalence theory, this paper focuses on the translation strategies needed to deal with the above two levels of problems, including part-of-speech conversion, incremental translation, segmentation, sentence recombination and so on.Finally, the author summarizes the translation in order to provide relevant experience and lessons for future translation.
