论译者的翻译个性——以霍克思英译《红楼梦》为例

【摘要】:创作个性是文论中的重要论题,受之启发,提出翻译个性的概念,指译者基于自己对翻译活动的独特认识与体验而形成的独特的审美心理结构。文学翻译是一种再创造活动,这就决定了译者翻译个性不同程度的存在。由于译者与作者的个性差异,译作偏离原作的现象普遍存在,创造性偏离越明显,译文往往越有审美性与艺术性,译者的翻译个性也就越鲜明,如霍译《红楼梦》体例的更新与变异、整合补偿的广泛运用等。翻译个性有利于推进译作与译者本人的经典化进程,为翻译研究提供了一个新的论题。
[Abstract]:Creative personality is an important topic in literary theory. Inspired by it, the concept of translation individuality is proposed, which refers to the unique aesthetic psychological structure formed by the translator based on his own unique understanding and experience of translation activities. Literary translation is a kind of creative activity, which determines the existence of translator's translation personality to different degrees. Due to the differences in personality between the translator and the author, the phenomenon of the translation deviating from the original is widespread. The more obvious the creative deviation is, the more aesthetic and artistic the translation is, and the more distinct the translation personality is. For example, the renewal and variation of Huo's translation of A Dream of Red Mansions, the extensive application of integrated compensation and so on. Translation personality is conducive to promoting the process of translation and the translator's own canonization, which provides a new topic for translation studies.
