功能对等理论指导下的《阿城信札》英汉翻译实践报告

【摘要】：本论文是一篇翻译实践报告。翻译原文来自亚瑟·克里斯托弗·本森所著的《阿城信札》。亚瑟·克里斯托弗·本森是英国著名作家,曾任剑桥大学莫德林学院院长。《阿城信札》是他的一部书信体随笔集,在那个时代颇有名气,文章以优美自然的笔触表现了作者对读书、人生、教育等各方面问题的看法和评论。此翻译实践报告以本人参与翻译的《阿城信札》的部分节选为基础,对所翻译完成的具体情况进行了阐述,辅以实际案例,从词汇、句子、语义和风格四个层面入手,说明在功能对等理论指导下如何用多种翻译方法尽可能实现散文翻译中原文到译文的对等效果。该实践报告分为四个部分,第一部分为翻译任务介绍。对任务的背景和文本的特点进行了描述和分析。第二部分介绍了翻译实践的具体过程,包括译前准备,翻译过程和如何对译文进行质量控制。第三部分是此次实践报告的主体,以实例分析和说明翻译实践中在功能对等理论指导下所采取的主要翻译方法和策略。第四部分总结了这次翻译实践中的收获和体会,分析了翻译过程中存在的问题和不足,阐述了在实践中得到的启示以及对未来翻译工作的展望。
[Abstract]:This thesis is a translation practice report. The translation is based on Arthur Christopher Benson's A City Letters. Arthur Christopher Benson is a famous British writer and former dean of Modellin College at Cambridge University. The author's views and comments on reading, life, education and so on are presented with beautiful and natural strokes. This translation practice report is based on the partial excerpts of "A Cheng Letters" which I have participated in the translation, and expounds the specific circumstances of the translation, supplemented by practical cases, starting with four levels: vocabulary, sentence, semantics and style. Under the guidance of functional equivalence theory, this paper explains how to realize the equivalence effect between the original and the target text in prose translation with various translation methods. The report is divided into four parts, the first part is the introduction of translation task. The background of the task and the characteristics of the text are described and analyzed. The second part introduces the specific process of translation practice, including pre-translation preparation, translation process and how to control the quality of the translation. The third part is the main body of the practice report, which analyzes and explains the main translation methods and strategies adopted in translation practice under the guidance of functional equivalence theory. The fourth part summarizes the harvest and experience of the translation practice, analyzes the problems and shortcomings in the translation process, and expounds the enlightenment gained in the practice and the prospect of the future translation work.
