阐释学翻译理论视角下《秘密花园》中译本的研究
[Abstract]:Since the May 4th Movement, there have been more and more translations of foreign children's literature, but the study of Chinese versions of foreign children's literature has been relatively few, which is undoubtedly a major shortcoming in the field of translation studies. Therefore, this study takes Secret Garden, a Chinese translation of excellent foreign children's literature, as the corpus. Secret Garden is a children's literary novel by Francis Burnett, a famous British writer. It is regarded as one of the most important classical children's literature works in the 20 ~ (th) century. Therefore, it has been widely translated in China, among which famous Chinese translators are Li Wenjun, Zhang Runfang, Bao Huinan, Xu Hong and so on. At present, however, the study of Secret Garden is mainly focused on its original works from a feminist perspective, and the study of its Chinese translation is rare. Based on the four steps of George Steiner's interpretation and translation, this paper takes the Chinese translation of Li Wenjun's Secret Garden as the object of study, and studies the four steps of trust, invasion, absorption and compensation, as well as the linguistic and cultural aspects. In view of the special reading group of children's literature, translators should take into account the linguistic characteristics of children's literature, give full play to their subjective initiative and reflect the translator's subjectivity, which is exactly what George Steiner emphasizes in his four-step translation. George Steiner's translation consists of four steps: trust, invasion, absorption and compensation. Finally, the loss of contrast between the original text and the target text should be compensated in the translation. Under the guidance of these four steps, the translator can play a subjective role in translating "Secret Garden" and translate the translation that children can appreciate and understand. Through this study, the following conclusions are drawn: first, under the guidance of the four steps of Steiner's interpretation, the translator adopts two main principles to reflect the linguistic characteristics of children's literature: emphasizing the educational nature of the translation and enhancing the childlike interest of the translation. Second, the Chinese translation embodies the four steps of Steiner's interpretation in terms of language and culture. The significance of this study is to verify the guidance and interpretation of George Steiner's four steps in the translation of Children's Literature. At the same time, the author hopes to attract more scholars' attention and research on children's literature such as Secret Garden.
