《红楼梦》及其英译本单称指示代词对比研究

【摘要】： 本文基于系统功能语法、语用学和认知语言学的基础上,从语义功能、语用特点、语法化特征和指示代词使用频率的不对称性方面对《红楼梦》英汉译本中使用的单称指示代词进行对比研究,揭示英汉单称指示代词的异同,挖掘异同之处的深层原因,并探索其理论和实践价值。 虽然系统功能语法、语用学和认知语言学分属不同的语言学科,但三者均以语言的实用性为原则,以语言的意义为出发点,都是对语言实用性的研究。本文正是基于这一理论基础,从三个不同学科对英汉单称指示代词进行系统化研究。而且,更为重要的是,此项研究利用平行语料库(《红楼梦》汉英平行语料库)来辅助理论研究,使得理论研究更具实效性。 在国内近三十年的对比研究中,虽然对英汉指示语的对比研究数量众多,但就单称指示代词的系统研究却不多见,尤其是对中国古典文学宝库中的语篇的对比分析甚少。进而,对我国古典文学中的某篇具体文章的汉英译本单称指示代词的系统研究更是屈指可数。 此项研究不仅能丰富功能、语用和认知理论研究的内容,还有助于扩大英汉对比的研究范围,同时,从跨学科的角度对中国古典文学中的单称指示代词进行了一次颇有成果的尝试。
[Abstract]:On the basis of systemic functional grammar, pragmatics and cognitive linguistics, this paper is based on semantic functions and pragmatic features. In terms of grammaticalization characteristics and asymmetry of the frequency of use of demonstrative pronouns, this paper makes a comparative study of the monomorphic demonstrative pronouns used in English and Chinese versions of Dream of Red Mansions, reveals the similarities and differences between English and Chinese monomorphic demonstrative pronouns, and explores the deep reasons for the similarities and differences. And explore its theoretical and practical value. Although systemic functional Grammar pragmatics and Cognitive Linguistics belong to different language disciplines they all take the practicality of language as the principle and the meaning of language as the starting point. Based on this theoretical basis, this paper systematically studies English and Chinese monomorphic demonstrative pronouns from three different subjects. More importantly, the parallel corpus (A Dream of Red Mansions) is used to aid the theoretical research, which makes the theoretical research more effective. In the past 30 years of contrastive research in China, although there are many contrastive studies on English and Chinese deixis, there are few systematic studies on monomorphic deixis, especially on the comparative analysis of texts in the treasure-house of Chinese classical literature. Furthermore, the systematic study on the denotative pronouns in Chinese and English versions of a specific article in classical Chinese literature is even more rare. This study not only enriches the contents of functional, pragmatic and cognitive studies, but also helps to expand the scope of contrastive studies between English and Chinese. A fruitful attempt has been made on the monomorphic deixis pronouns in Chinese classical literature from an interdisciplinary point of view.
