勒弗维尔操控理论视角下英译《尘埃落定》研究

【摘要】：勒菲维尔从文化视角出发,认为翻译过程受目的语国家诗学、意识形态及赞助人等外在因素控制。翻译的实质是译者在诗学、意识形态及赞助人的影响下对原文的操控。本文基于勒菲维尔的操控理论,分析了译者葛浩文所受到的来自诗学、意识形态、赞助人三个方面的操控。葛浩文夫妇英译中国藏族作家阿来的小说《尘埃落定》,该译本在西方国家广受欢迎,但鲜有中国学者从翻译学角度对译本进行研究。本文以《尘埃落定》英译本为研究对象,阐述主要译者葛浩文在翻译实践中受到的操控。具体而言,本文首先从译者出发,探讨其自身诗学及意识形态。其次,本文阐述西方社会的诗学及其主流意识形态对译者操控。最后分析赞助人对译者翻译过程的操控。在此基础上,本文通过分析译者葛浩文在英译《尘埃落定》的过程中所受到的来自诗学、意识形态及赞助人的操控,证明了勒弗维尔操控理论的可行性。本文希望为今后的研究《尘埃落定》英译本提供新的研究视角和素材,且为葛浩文的翻译研究提供绵薄之力。
[Abstract]:From the cultural point of view, Lefeville believes that the translation process is controlled by external factors such as poetics, ideology and patron of the target country. The essence of translation is the translator's manipulation of the original text under the influence of poetics, ideology and sponsors. Based on Lefevere's manipulation theory, this paper analyzes the manipulation of translator GE Haowen from three aspects: poetics, ideology and patron. GE Haowen and his wife translated the novel A Lai, a Chinese Tibetan writer, into English, which is widely welcomed in western countries, but few Chinese scholars have studied the translation from the perspective of translation studies. Taking the English translation of Dust settled as the object of study, this paper expounds the manipulation of GE Haowen, the main translator, in translation practice. Specifically, this paper first discusses the translator's own poetics and ideology. Secondly, this paper expounds the manipulation of the translator by the poetics of western society and its mainstream ideology. Finally, the sponsor's manipulation of the translator's translation process is analyzed. On this basis, this paper proves the feasibility of Leverville's manipulation theory by analyzing the manipulation of poetics, ideology and patrons by translator GE Hao-wen in the process of translating Dust settled into English. This paper hopes to provide a new research perspective and material for the future study of the English translation of Dust, and to provide a useful force for GE Hao-wen's translation studies.
