哲学阐释学视角下《生死疲劳》英译本误译研究

【摘要】：误译是不可避免的。汉学家葛浩文被誉为中国现当代文学的首席翻译家,在其翻译的莫言作品《生死疲劳》中作者发现了大量的误译。伽达默尔哲学阐释学“理解的历史性”、“视域融合”以及“前见”等观点,可以用来解释文学作品中的误译现象。本文在前人已作研究的基础上,从哲学阐释学视角陈述了误译的溯因,阐明了哲学阐释学对翻译研究的启示。在哲学阐释学理论指导下把《生死疲劳》英译本中的误译现象从无意误译和有意误译两方面进行分析。其中无意误译分析包括文化负载词、度量衡、人物对话等方面;有意误译包括习语、方言、宗教表达、歌谣、省略、增译等方面的误译现象解读。作者发现有些误译是译者粗心和知识欠缺导致的,有些误译却是译者苦心造诣的劳动成果。通过对《生死疲劳》英译本中误译现象的研究,期望对文学作品的翻译提供一定借鉴,促进中国文学作品以正确的姿态“走出去”。
