展现他者：从陌生化理论角度浅析王安忆《长恨歌》英译本

文学翻译以其特有的艺术审美价值而与其他类型的翻译区别开来。原作的文学性和艺术性是否在译文中得以保留和传递是判断文学翻译成功与否的关键因素。俄国形式主义指出,文学性是文学作品的本质属性,作者在文学作品中使用的陌生化手法是实现文学性的重要手段。文学的任务在于引起读者的兴趣去感知语言本身带给他们的陌生感和新鲜感。因此,译者在进行文学翻译时要能够注意到原作中的陌生化元素并在译文中做出恰当的处理。小说《长恨歌》是王安忆文学最高成就的代表作,1995年一经发表便令其跻身于中国当代文坛最著名作家的行列。2008年白睿文和陈毓贤合作的英译本在美出版,立刻吸引了许多西方主流媒体和评论家的关注及高度赞扬。由于中国文学长期以来在世界文学中处于边缘地位,西方读者对于该小说的认可和赞赏很大程度上反映出译本的成功。在研究前人文献的基础上,本论文作者认为:海外读者接受该小说的主要原因在于译者在翻译过程中忠实地再现了原文中的异质性文化和文学特征,从而使目的语文本产生了极大的陌生化效果。文章针对《长恨歌》中的陌生化元素及其在英译本中的再现情况做了具体的分析。文章作者将原文中的陌生化手法和译文中再现陌生化的对应情况分为三...
