操纵理论视角下《美丽新世界》两个中译本的对比研究

上世纪后半叶,西方翻译学界兴起了“文化转向”这一风潮。将之前翻译多从语言层面等内部因素考虑,转为注重社会文化、社会背景等的外部因素思考。其中,由勒菲弗尔提出的操纵理论进入视线,受到众多翻译理论学家的关注与研究。该理论认为,意识形态,诗学观及赞助人对翻译的影响不容忽视。同时,在这三大要素的限制下,译者所采取的翻译策略或方法会受到一定程度的影响。这一理论为翻译研究开启了新的大门。《美丽新世界》一书由英国作家阿道司·赫胥黎写于1931年,出版于1932年。作为最经典的世界反乌托邦文学名著之一。小说主要描写的是在一个未来世界中,人们过着衣食无忧的日子,物质生活得到了极大的满足。但同时,由于这个社会的核心理念为本分与稳定,因此人们生活的一切都被桎梏于统一的标准下,没有个体的思想、认知与情绪。该书一经问世就受到了极大的关注,后来被译成多种语言,有多个版本在各国流传。截止目前为止,本书的汉语译本有13个,其中大陆8个,台湾5个。在众多中文译本中,李黎与孙法理两位译者的版本分别是该书在台湾与中国大陆的第一个译本,这两位译者也分别是台湾与大陆第一个翻译此作品的译者。花城出版社为了推出“反面乌托邦三部曲”...
