翻译伦理观照下《围城》隐喻英译研究

钱钟书的《围城》是中国文学史上的经典之作,这部小说由珍妮·凯丽和茅国权于1979年合译出版。自《围城》译本问世以来,众多学者对其进行多角度研究。以往的研究主要是对译本进行总体评价,讨论“翻译的好不好”的问题;讨论“怎么译”的问题,即译文所使用的翻译策略;探讨“为什么这么译”的问题。多数研究探究的是文本与文本之间的关系,很少涉及到翻译中的人际关系研究,探讨译者的道德和伦理选择倾向。本文从翻译伦理视角对珍妮·凯丽和茅国权的《围城》英译本进行分析,对译者的翻译伦理选择作深入研究。翻译是一种制度化的社会行为,是一项复杂的实践活动,涉及语言与文化、作者与译者、赞助人与读者等多方面的因素,其本身就是一种道德选择与判断,它需要各种伦理规范来处理翻译中所涉及的各种关系。20世纪80年代,法国翻译家贝尔曼（Berman）首先提出了翻译伦理,美国翻译理论家韦努蒂（Venuti）在翻译伦理基础上提出差异伦理,后来芬兰著名学者切斯特曼（Chesterman）对翻译伦理又进行了深入研究。他将翻译伦理分为五种模式:“再现伦理”,即要求译者准确再现原作及原作者的意图,凸显翻译的真实与忠实;“服务伦理”,即要求翻译符...
