【摘要】:拟人,作为一种常见修辞,在莎剧中频频出现,既深刻地描写事物,融情于景,托物言志,又便于给听众或者读者活泼生动的印象,使其对于作者笔下的情景、情绪、人物刻画等有更真切的认识和把握。本文把莎剧中的拟人修辞作为研究对象具有一定意义。本文对莎剧的代表作四大悲剧中的拟人修辞进行了系统而深入的研究。首先,基于前人对中英文中拟人修辞的定义和分类,结合莎剧中拟人修辞表达方式和使用特点,本文总结出更切合实际的定义,将莎剧中的拟人分为抽象概念拟人、有生物拟人和无生物拟人三种,并以例证分析了拟人在莎剧中的语言表现力。其次,在运用概念隐喻理论全面考察莎剧中拟人修辞的基础上,本文挖掘了这一辞格背后的隐喻机制和认知功能,发现拟人是源域(人)向目的域(非人实体)映射的结果;拟人是剧中人物宣泄情感的一种方式,是人类认识世界的有效工具,具有类推说理功能,能够引发读者对剧中情景的思考。最后,运用概念隐喻的翻译观对比分析译者就拟人修辞的不同处理方式,本文尝试总结出行之有效的翻译策略,即对等翻译策略、转化翻译策略和异化翻译策略。概念隐喻理论在莎剧修辞研究中的运用,不仅有助于我们挖掘莎剧拟人辞格背后的隐喻机制和认知功能,也能为莎剧拟人修辞翻译研究开辟新的切入点。
