从《法国中尉的女人》看现代小说的对话性

【摘要】：《法国中尉的女人》是英国小说家约翰·福尔斯最著名的作品,也被认为是英国后现代小说的代表作,自问世以来,因其极强的可读性深受广大读者喜爱,同时其多元化的主题和后现代叙事技巧也一直弓引起研究者的兴趣。小说的对话性被前苏联思想家巴赫金视为小说区别于其他文学体裁的特有属性。他通过对陀思妥耶夫斯基小说的分析,从多个层面揭示了小说所具有的对话性质。本文从巴赫金对话理论的视角,立足于文本细读,对《法国中尉的女人》中作者、文本、读者之间的对话关系进行分析,并在关于小说对话性的讨论中进一步引入历史、文学语境的因素,从而更好地把握这部小说的价值与内涵,并对现代小说的对话性能有更全面的认识。全文共分五个部分。绪论部分综述国内外相关研究成果和巴赫金对话理论,提出全文主旨。第一章讨论小说内部诸要素之间的对话关系,指出小说通过人物之间以及人物内心的对话逐步建构人物形象,情节结构上的对话深化了小说主题。第二章分析小说文本与作者、读者之间的对话关系,指出由于作者放弃了传统作家全知全能视角,小说人物获得了自由,小说文本具有不确定性,这使得读者与文本的对话成为可能,读者能通过对话参与到意义构建的过程中。第三章探讨小说与历史、文学语境之间的宏观对话,认为小说采用时空倒错、元叙述等手段,解构了历史文本的权威性,并随后将小说文本与不同体裁的引文交织在一起,完成了对于维多利亚历史的重构；此外小说诞生于特定的文学语境,作者通过这部小说的创作,加入一场关于小说是否已死的文学对话。结论部分对全文所做研究进行总结,最后提出现代小说的发展使得自身呈现出更丰富的对话性,同时也促使对话研究进一步深入,小说与批评之间的对话使得两者都能不断向前发展。
[Abstract]:"the woman of the French Lieutenant" is the most famous work of English novelist John Fowles, and is also regarded as the representative work of the English postmodern novel. Since its publication, it has been loved by the general public because of its strong readability. At the same time, his diversified themes and post-modern narrative techniques have also attracted the interest of researchers. The dialoguality of the novel is regarded by the former Soviet thinker Bakhtin as the unique attribute of the novel which distinguishes it from other literary genres. The analysis of Styevsky's novels. From the perspective of Bakhtin's dialogical theory, the author of the novel is based on the detailed reading of the text and the author of the French Lieutenant's woman. The dialogue relationship between readers is analyzed, and the historical and literary context factors are further introduced into the discussion on the dialogue of the novel, so as to better grasp the value and connotation of the novel. The full text is divided into five parts. The introduction part summarizes the domestic and foreign related research results and Bakhtin's dialogue theory. The first chapter discusses the dialogue relationship among the elements in the novel, and points out that the novel gradually constructs the character image through the dialogue between characters and the characters' inner heart. The dialogue in the plot structure deepens the theme of the novel. Chapter two analyzes the relationship between the novel text and the author and the reader, and points out that the characters of the novel are free because the author gives up the traditional author's omnipotent angle of view. The uncertainty of the novel text makes the dialogue between the reader and the text possible. The reader can participate in the process of meaning construction through the dialogue. Chapter three discusses the macro dialogue between novel history and literary context. The author thinks that the novel deconstructs the authoritativeness of historical text by means of time-space inversion and meta-narration, and then interweaves the novel text with citations of different genres, thus completing the reconstruction of Victorian history. In addition, the novel was born in a specific literary context. Through the creation of the novel, the author adds a literary dialogue on whether the novel is dead. The conclusion part summarizes the research done in the full text. Finally, the author points out that the development of modern novels makes them more conversational, and at the same time, promotes the further study of dialogue. The dialogue between fiction and criticism enables both of them to develop continuously.
