[Abstract]:A. S., British female writer. Byatt is one of the most famous writers nowadays. His intellectual writing usually takes the intellectual as the protagonist and mostly tells the story of the academic circle. She has almost dabbled in all kinds of literary genres in her works, among which a large number of allusions have brought readers some obstacles to reading. However, her works involve a wide range of content, different characters, complex and changeable psychological situation, but also give the works rich and profound connotation, critics generally think that her novel has the significance of ideological enlightenment. A.S. Byatt's novel possessive is regarded as a classic of contemporary English novels and regarded by critics as the most successful one. Through a large number of letters, diaries and other traditional but unique narrative techniques, the novel deconstructs the narrative perspective and hegemonic discourse of the patriarchal center in the western patriarchal society. And excavate the female narrative angle and voice which is submerged by history in the form of Chinese and Chinese, and restore the female narrative truth that has been erased since ancient times by the distorted male vision of the West. This thesis attempts to interpret the narrative sound, narrative time and rhetoric from the perspective of feminist narratology. This paper probes into how the author challenges and subverts the traditional literary creation mode dominated by men and constructs the authority of female narration by means of circuitous and ingenious narrative strategies so as to better understand the intention of Byatt's creation in this novel. This thesis consists of six chapters. The first chapter briefly introduces Byatt's life and literary achievements, the story outline of the novel "possession", the current situation of domestic and foreign research and the significance of the purpose of this thesis. The second chapter gives a brief explanation of the development of feminist narratology and its theoretical propositions, because it is the theoretical framework of this thesis. The third chapter mainly discusses how Byatt adopts the narrative strategy of personal narrative sound and collective narrative sound to express the female inner voice and thus to construct the female narrative authority. With the help of letters and diaries, the author asks Victorian women to tell their own stories to record their true voices and restore the true panorama of women's experiences in patriarchal society. At the same time, Byatt created several vivid female images, in which each character spoke on behalf of the Victorian female group in turn, and then converged into a multi-part female collective narrative voice to reproduce the unknown historical reality. Chapter four discusses how Byatt subverts male-dominated social discourse hegemony by explicit and recessive repeated narrative techniques. The novel uses repeated narration to make the past and present cycle, thus deconstructing the linear pattern of traditional male narration. The dominant repeated narration is mainly presented by the images frequently appearing in the novel, while the female destiny cycle in different times in the text can be regarded as recessive repeated narration. The fifth chapter mainly analyzes the fictional parody rhetoric of mythology and fairy tale literature form from the female angle to expose the suppression of the female vitality and the distortion of the female image in the patriarchal society. Compare and analyze the difference between the former text and the adapted text to reconstruct the gender stereotype. The last chapter is the conclusion of the previous chapter.
