从目的论视角研究电影《暮光之城》三部曲两种中文译本的字幕翻译

【摘要】：在全球化发展趋势下,随着越来越多的外语影片不断涌入中国市场,电影字幕翻译研究备受关注,已成为翻译研究的一个重要而迫切的课题。虽然电影字幕翻译已经取得了一定进展,然而其规范和指导理论尚不完善,电影字幕翻译的质量仍有待进一步提高。 作为对传统翻译理论的一个重大突破,德国功能主义“目的论”为电影字幕翻译研究开辟了新的研究视角。目的论认为翻译是一种有目的的行为,字幕翻译也不例外。在时间和空间的制约下,字幕翻译旨在向处在特定文化背景中的观众传达最有效的相关信息,从而使其能更好地理解和欣赏电影作品。由于这是一个复杂的动态过程,译者应在目的论的指导下,充分考虑电影字幕翻译的特点和原则,选择适当的翻译策略进行翻译实践活动,以实现预期的特定翻译目的。 《暮光之城》系列电影以其宏大优美的拍摄场面、高超的特技制作、凄美动人的故事情节和精湛的演员演技成为国内外备受欢迎的影片。这部系列电影有两种中文字幕翻译版本同样值得关注。因此本文采用对比分析及描述法,以《暮光之城》三部曲的两种中文译本为例,从目的论角度对其字幕翻译进行分析,指出在字幕翻译过程中,译者应充分考虑时间空间限制等各方面因素,根据不同的翻译目的采取不同的翻译策略,从而达到预期的翻译目的。
