京剧《王宝川》与英语话剧《宝川夫人》

【摘要】：1934年,熊式一在英国伦敦出版根据京剧《王宝川》改写的英语剧本《宝川夫人》,并于当年被搬上伦敦戏剧舞台由英国演员演出。京剧《王宝川》在情节、人物、唱腔等方面体现中国传统戏剧文化的特点。从京剧《王宝川》到英语话剧《宝川夫人》,不是一般意义上的翻译,而是值得研究的跨文化改编。它从一个侧面反映中国传统戏剧的文化价值、历史局限以及可进行创造性改编的空间,并在跨文化戏剧交流中具有重要意义。
[Abstract]:In 1934, Xiong Shiyi published an English script, Mrs. Baochuan, adapted from Beijing Opera "Wang Baochuan" in London, England, and was put on the stage of the London Drama to be performed by British actors. Beijing Opera Wang Baochuan embodies the characteristics of Chinese traditional drama culture in the aspects of plot, character and singing. From Beijing Opera Wang Baochuan to the English drama Mrs. Baochuan, it is not a translation in general sense, but a cross-cultural adaptation worthy of study. It reflects the cultural value, historical limitation and space of creative adaptation of Chinese traditional drama from one aspect, and has important significance in cross-cultural drama communication.
