西方现代造型艺术中的“表现”问题

【摘要】:“表现”问题是西方造型艺术由古典转向现代的关键所在,也是推动20世纪初以来近百年间西方现代造型艺术发展的一个核心问题。本文从对西方文艺传统中的“表现”观念的历史考察着手,归纳出西方现代“表现”观念的核心内涵,以此为基点来逐步分析西方现代造型艺术史,进而将西方现代造型艺术的产生与发展归结为在“表现”观念驱动下不断递进的历史进程:印象主义对感觉真实的追求为造型艺术由再现走向表现打开了缺口;野兽派在继承和批判后印象主义的基础上首次实现了表现的自觉,并在艺术中反抗物象对表现的压迫;德国表现主义与超现实主义以不彻底的“否定性物象”来张扬表现反抗物象;至上主义、风格派等则在立体主义的启示下走向完全排斥物象的纯粹造型,,在造型的范围内实现彻底的表现;二战后的西方艺术家们察觉到纯粹造型已经掉转头来形成新的对表现的压制;经由抽象表现主义、最低限艺术,表现逐步摆脱了纯粹造型,寻求造型之外的新的表现可能。“表现”在西方现代造型艺术史中呈现为不断行进中的自我否定,它始终是艺术生命中坚决抵制异化力量的强大基因,不断向着自由前进。
[Abstract]:The problem of "performance" is the key to the transition of Western plastic arts from classical to modern, and also a core issue to promote the development of western modern plastic arts in the last hundred years since the beginning of the 20th century. Based on the historical investigation of the concept of "performance" in the western literary tradition, this paper sums up the core connotation of the concept of "performance" in the western modern literature and art tradition, and gradually analyzes the history of modern plastic arts in the West. Then the emergence and development of modern plastic arts in the West is attributed to the progressive historical process driven by the concept of "performance": Impressionism's pursuit of feeling truthfulness opens the gap for plastic arts from reproduction to expression; On the basis of inheriting and criticizing the post-impressionism, the Beast faction realized the consciousness of performance for the first time, and resisted the oppression of the manifestation in the art. German Expressionism and surrealism display resistance to objects with incomplete "negative material images", while supremacy, stylism, and so on, under the inspiration of cubism, move towards the pure form of total rejection of object images. In the scope of modeling, they achieve thorough performance; Western artists after World War II perceive that pure modeling has turned around to form a new suppression of performance; through abstract expressionism, the lowest art, performance gradually gets rid of pure modeling. Look for new performance possibilities beyond styling. In the history of western modern modeling art, "performance" is presented as self-negation, which is always a powerful gene in art life to resist alienation and advance to freedom.
