《红楼梦》霍译本中物质文化负载词翻译策略的定量研究

【摘要】："文化负载词"是民族文化的标志,即具有鲜明特色的民族文化在语言词汇中直接或间接的反映。本文旨在采用定性研究和定量研究相结合的方法,对《红楼梦》中五类物质文化负载词(服饰、饮食、器用、建筑和医药)和其在霍克思英译本中的译文进行对比分析后,定量统计各种翻译方法所占的比例,力求发现该译本在处理物质文化负载词时所使用的翻译策略的特点和总体倾向性,从而为研究物质文化负载词的翻译问题提供一个视角。
[Abstract]:"Culture-loaded words" is the symbol of national culture, that is, the national culture with distinct characteristics is directly or indirectly reflected in language vocabulary. The purpose of this paper is to make a comparative analysis of the five categories of material and cultural loaded words (clothing, food, utensils, architecture and medicine) and their translations in Hawkes' English translation by combining qualitative and quantitative studies. In order to find out the characteristics and general tendency of translation strategies used in the translation of material-culture-loaded words, this paper attempts to provide a perspective for the study of the translation of material-culture-loaded words.
