林紓翻译小说中译文读者的角色

　　本文以接受美学理论和目的论为理论依据，通过描述分析法来探讨译文读者在林纾翻译中的角色。接受美学认为在作者、作品和读者的三维关系中，读者并不是被动的而是能动的创立者，译文读者对译者能否成功地实现其翻译目的起着决定性的作用。从目的论看，所有的翻译都指向其预定的对象，因为翻译本身就是为译入语目的、环境和对象创造出符合译入语背景的文本。本文由此提出理论假设：译者在翻译过程中应该考虑译文读者的角色。林纾在中国文学翻译史上是一个重要而且极具影响力的译者。但是自从他的第一本译作在1899年问世以来，他的翻译作品引起中国学者的广泛争议。本文试图从译文读者的角度来分析林纾的翻译作品，并且指出林纾在其翻译过程中考虑了译文读者的政治意识形态，语言期待视野，意识形态期待视野以及文学规范，从而采取有效的翻译策略来达到其翻译目的。
