【摘要】：翻译理论在飞速的发展,而许多译者仍将视角锁定于语言层面。然而,德国功能主义者却将翻译活动推到了一个新的台阶,将目标读者与文本功能二者结合起来,从而使翻译效果更加完善。他们向翻译活动中注入了新鲜的元素—文本类型理论和目的论。二者与传统的翻译理论不同之处在于目的论与文本类型理论更注重不同文本类型的功能。 目的论的雏形为莱斯所提出的文本类型理论,由于文本类型理论无法涵盖所有的文本类型,故弗米尔将文本类型理论加以升华,使文本类型理论摆脱有限文本类型的限制从而使其发展成为目的论。但是目的论还需文本类型理论的支撑才得以发展,故翻译过程中,文本类型的界定是必不可少的。 目的论虽然根据文本的功能来指导翻译实践,但是其译本有时并无法忠实于原文。虽然译文的可读性大大地增加,但其原文的内容始终无法原汁原味地再现给目标读者。同时,目的论的可应用性也遭到了质疑。因此诺德吸取了目的论以及文本类型理论的精华并在此基础上加入了忠诚原则从而提高其可应用性。 本文以《京华烟云》两中译本为例,通过把目的论应用于文学翻译来证明其在此领域的可应用性。通过对《京华烟云》文中不同文本类型功能的分析,作者应用相对应的功能学派翻译策略进行对比研究。源文本功能在《京华烟云》两中译本中体现的方式不同表明了译者对翻译策略的侧重点不同以及所处背景的不同。因此本文作者对两位译者的译本从功能论的角度加以分析来实现译文与目的读者之间在语言与文化层面的交流。
