认知语言学视角下的英汉反讽隐喻对比研究

【摘要】：反讽是人们在言语交际中经常见到的一种语言现象,有很长的研究历史。然而,长期以来,人们对反讽这一语言现象的研究多停留在语言的表面层次,很少有人把反讽当成概念或一种特殊的认知隐喻来研究。本文在前人研究的基础上,将反讽看作是在同一个认知域下的两个次认知域之间映射的一种特殊隐喻,涉及在两个认知域之间通过相邻性建立起来的一种常规关系。文中所选语料来源于中国脱口秀节目《今晚80后脱口秀》、英国脱口秀节目Russell Howard’s Good News和美国脱口秀节目The Ellen DeGeneres Show,都是比较典型的反讽语言,具有一定的代表性。因此,本文从认知语言学角度出发,以常规关系理论为基础,对所搜集的语料进行研究,分析在中英脱口秀中反讽隐喻的生成和理解机制,研究隐喻映射的共性以及不同民族人们在语言表达上感知和思维的共通性。通过研究反讽隐喻的生成和理解机制,作者发现,具有隐喻形式的反讽都可被看作为反讽隐喻,可以凭借其所涉及的两个认知域之间的反向相邻关系被人们所认知。另外,通过研究发现,不同民族的人们对于反讽的理解和使用方式基本是一样的,因此进一步证明了隐喻映射具有共性,而且不同民族人们在语言表达上的感知和思维具有共通性。本研究不仅充实了反讽研究体系,增加了反讽的实证研究内容,且在研究中英脱口秀的反讽现象时,分析反讽语言表现形式,概括总结了反讽在脱口秀节目中的语用功能,从而有利于揭示语言的使用规律,对更有效地分析及规范语言的使用具有重要的实践意义。全文共五章。第一章是前言,介绍了本研究的背景、意义、语料来源和结构布局。第二章是文献综述,回顾了国内外学者们对反讽和隐喻的相关研究,指出现有研究的局限性。第三章是常规关系理论框架介绍。第四章在常规关系理论框架下详细分析了中英脱口秀中反讽隐喻的生成和理解机制,并概括总结了反讽隐喻在脱口秀中的语用功能。第五章是结论,总结了本研究的主要发现、贡献及不足之处,并为今后进一步的研究提出建议。
[Abstract]:Irony is a linguistic phenomenon often seen in verbal communication, and has a long history of study. However, for a long time, the study of irony has remained on the surface of language. Irony is rarely studied as a concept or a special cognitive metaphor. On the basis of previous studies, irony is regarded as a special metaphor that maps between two subcognitive domains in the same cognitive domain. Involves a conventional relationship established by contiguity between two cognitive domains. The selected language materials are from the Chinese talk show "the post-80s talk show tonight", the British talk show Russell Howard's Good News and the u. S. Talk show. The Ellen DeGeneres Show is a typical irony language. Therefore, from the perspective of cognitive linguistics and on the basis of the conventional relation theory, this paper studies the collected corpus and analyzes the mechanism of the generation and understanding of irony metaphors in Chinese and English talk shows. By studying the generality of metaphorical mapping and the commonality of people's perception and thinking in language expression, the author finds that irony with metaphorical form can be regarded as irony metaphor. In addition, it is found that people of different nationalities understand and use irony in the same way. Therefore, it is further proved that metaphorical mapping has commonality, and that people of different nationalities have common perception and thinking in language expression. This study not only enriches the research system of irony, but also increases the content of empirical research on irony. When studying the irony phenomenon in Chinese and English talk shows, this paper analyzes the forms of irony language, summarizes the pragmatic functions of irony in talk shows, which is helpful to reveal the rules of language use. It is of great practical significance to analyze and standardize the use of language more effectively. There are five chapters in this paper. The first chapter is the preface, which introduces the background, significance, source and structure of the research. Chapter two is a literature review. Reviewing the relevant studies on irony and metaphor made by scholars at home and abroad, The third chapter introduces the theoretical framework of conventional relationship. Chapter 4th analyzes the generation and understanding mechanism of irony metaphor in Chinese and English talk shows in detail under the framework of conventional relationship theory. Chapter 5th is the conclusion, summarizes the main findings, contributions and shortcomings of this study, and puts forward some suggestions for further study.
