从译者语篇语境看唐诗及其英译人称照应的对比与翻译

在国内外近二十年的对比研究中,虽然对中英文的衔接手段对比研究数量众多,但单独就人称照应这一特殊衔接方式进行的研究并不多见,其中理论研究居多,语义、句法、语用和认知等领域都有各自的理论来解释这一现象。纵观百年诗歌翻译研究,国内外有很多杰出的翻译家涉足唐诗英译领域,并取得了辉煌成就,但对其中特定人称照应鲜有研究。本文试从译者语篇语境探讨唐诗中的人称照应,拟找出人称照应在这一特殊语篇中的特殊用法以及其所在英译本中的翻译策略。本文共选21首唐诗及许渊冲和Witter Bynner的两个英译本为语料,建立小型平行数据库,以译者语篇语境（篇内语境和篇外语境）为指导,来研究唐诗英译文中人称照应的翻译,提出了“人称照应的翻译过程实质上就是译者理解源语语篇和构建译语语篇的交际过程”,本文作者认为由于译者所处的文化背景不同,因此所采用的翻译策略也有所不同,这种差异可用语篇语境来进行阐释。本研究根据统计数据分析和对比研究发现原诗人称代词使用频率极低,而其译文中人称代词使用频率比原文高;译者在篇内语境和篇外语境中处理人称代词时所采取的翻译策略也存在差异。作者将通过这两种发现来探讨唐诗及其译本中人称代词使用存在...
