图式理论视角下的连贯研究及对读前教学的启示

连贯是语篇的一个基本特征,也是语篇分析的核心概念。1976年,韩礼德提出衔接与连贯理论,并认为语篇的连贯是在衔接的基础上形成的,衔接是连贯必不可少的条件。一些学者认为此理论在大部分语篇条件下是适用的。但也有一些学者发现:语义上连贯的语篇可以没有形式上的衔接;即使文章中有大量明显的衔接标记,也不能保证语篇的语义连贯。随着认知语言学的发展,语言学家开始注重认知能力对语篇分析的制约和影响。语篇的生成和理解是一个动态的认知过程,是读者把已有的背景知识与文章中的语言符号产生联系,并重新组织和表达信息的过程。因此一些语言学家也把语篇的连贯性和语篇中的连贯关系看作是一种认知现象。认知心理学的重要理论之一的图式理论,将背景知识统称为图式,是一种世界知识和先前经验在人类记忆中的储存方式。其基本的观点是语篇本身无意义,而只是为读者提供引导,使他们知道如何应用已有的知识去提取或建构意义。因此,连贯不是语篇的唯一特征;连贯是否能实现,在何种意义上实现,取决于读者能否激活相关的图式。本文尝试运用图式理论分析语篇的连贯及该研究对教学的启示。作者在介绍了连贯和图式理论的基本概念之后,详细阐述了图式理论对语篇连贯的实...
