The Evaluative Functions of Evidentiality

  作为一种非常普遍的语言现象,言据性已经引起了全世界语言学者的关注。它已经成为近些年来语言学界研究的热门话题。由澳大利亚悉尼大学语言学院的语言学家于1990年建立的评价系统也受到了广泛关注。本文力求将言据性和评价理论建构在一起,探索言据性在评价系统(包括其三个子系统:态度,介入和分级系统)中,如何产生作用。我们在中国知网上随机选取二十篇各个方向的英语语言学硕士论文作为本文的研究素材,来探讨言据性在学术语篇中的评价功能。 我们发现:不同形式的言据符号在建构态度,介入和分级系统时都有评价功能。在评价理论的各个范畴里,言据性都与可能性或可能性的程度有关,在学术语篇中体现了作者不同的观点,立场和态度。 本文共分六章。第一章首先介绍了研究背景和提出待解决的问题。之后我们给出了研究方法以及语料的采集。第一章的最后,详细给出了本文的结构。第二章回顾前人在言据性方面的研究,包括它的定义和分类。同时,我们对广义的“评价”尤其是在学术语篇上的研究也在这一章进行了简要回顾。在第三章中,基于马丁的评价理论的理论框架,我们提出了本文的理论框架。第四章和第五章是本文的主体,言据性在建构介入系统时体现出...
