汉英对立转折类副词性关联词语比较研究

【摘要】：本文主要对汉英对立转折类副词性关联词语:“却”,“反而”,“反倒”,“倒是”,instead,however,only和conversely进行比较研究。从句法特点、语义特征、语用功能三个角度分别进行比较分析。本研究的语料均选自北京大学中国语言学研究中心语料库和美国当代英语语料库。本文对汉英对立转折类副词性关联词语的句法位置作定量分析、对其语义关系及语用功能作定性分析,所有分析都用真实文本语料加以佐证。通过分析研究,我们发现汉英对立转折类副词性关联词语具有不同的句法特点、语义特征及三大语用功能。本文的主要发现有:1.汉语对立转折类副词性关联词语的句法位置相对固定,而英语对立转折类副词性关联词语的句法位置更加灵活。这些词所占句法类别数量的优先语序是:“反而”/“反倒”“倒是”“却”;howeverconverselyinsteadonly(“”表示“先于”);2.汉英对立转折类副词性关联词语的基本语法意义大致相同,汉语对立转折类副词性关联词语的语义背景较之英语更加复杂。这些词所占语义比较类别数量的优先语序是:“倒是”“却”“反而”/“反倒”;howeverconversely/insteadonly;3.汉英对立转折类副词性关联词语主要有三种语用功能,分别是信息焦点提示功能、指明预设功能和转换功能。本文研究的目的和意义在于对汉英对立转折类副词性关联词语的深入研究有所帮助,对英语语言学习者和中英翻译等方面有所启示,为比较研究汉英副词性关联词语的语言特点提供新的视角。
