汉语可数不可数之分

【摘要】：可数与不可数名词的讨论一直是有复数标记的语言所讨论的范畴。因为汉语不属于有复数标记的语言,所以汉语名词数的问题在传统汉语描写性语法中较少提到,但赵元任、朱德熙已在其专著中用可数名词与不可数名词来划分名词类别。之后的中国语言学研究并没有集中在名词的数这一领域,本文将在形式语义学的框架下研究这一问题。形式语义学在研究汉语名词数的方面主要有两大优势:(1)形式语义学在名词数这一范畴内理论框架丰富;(2)形式语义学的理论在判定名词可数性时可行性更强。本文认为:汉语名词有可数与不可数之分。本文将用汉语语料检验形式语言学中名词数的两种理论。一种是Link为代表的以原子单位为基础的理论(atomicity-based theory)。这种理论认为可数名词与不可数名词之分主要体现在原子单位(atomicity)上,可数名词属于原子单位的集合,而不可数名词属于非原子单位的集合。第二种理论是以Chierchia为代表的以数为基础的理论(number-based theory)。这种理论认为可数名词与不可数名词之分主要体现在数(number)上,不可数名词有内置复数性(built-in plurality)。经过讨论本文认为:(1)以原子单位为基础的理论(atomicity-based theory)比以数为基础的理论(number-based theory)更能合理解释汉语;(2)汉语名词应分为三类:可数名词、不可数名词、和集体名词。
