【摘要】：本论文从顺应论的角度出发,以《左传》所载外交场合下的27个赋诗个案作为语料,从心智、社会、物理三个维度考察《左传》赋诗活动的语用特征。我们将回答以下研究问题:1)赋诗者在该场合下选取何诗篇以适应交际需求?2)所赋之诗发挥了什么语用功能?3)赋诗者为何选赋该诗篇?研究以维索尔伦的语言性顺应论为基本理论框架。该理论认为,语言使用乃不断地在任何结构层面上做出“语言选择”,语言选择要与心智、社会、物理世界的语境相关成分相适应。我们采取语用综观的研究路向,从而认为,意义是在交际过程中动态生成的。语言的产生和解释过程均对意义的动态生成发挥重要作用,语言选择的过程具有不同的意识突显性。在此理论框架的指导下,我们研究《左传》外交场合的27个赋诗个案。我们把语料分为表达性使用和功能性使用两大类,以利下文对言语行为语力的分析。对话内容通过会话分析的方法转写,使同时包含赋诗这一特殊的语言形式及普通日常语言的交际过程一目了然。研究首先把赋诗内容定义为一种语言变体,赋诗与日常话步之间的转换能够生成意义。从诗篇内容来研究这一语言变体的结构特征,我们发现,诗性语言具有明显的意义不确定性,因此,能为意义的协商提供可能。考察完适应性的结构对象,语言使用被定义为根据心智、社会、物理层面的语境限制而做出的语言选择。在社会层面,关注尚礼的社会规范以及诗的传播的文化语境;在心智层面,语言使用者的心智世界,包括认知成分和情感成分,能够影响语言选择;在物理层面,文章考察交际场合的正式性以及言语的“物质”条件。最后,从听话人的角度揭示交际过程的互动性和意识突显性。研究发现,《左传》赋诗是说话人对语境相关成分的适应而作出的语言选择,意义的生成依赖于互动双方的有意识的参与。
