【摘要】：一般认为,最典型的动结式(简称为VRO)是由古代使动用法发展而来的。但是由于使动用法的"消亡",我们对它的致使意义的来源问题还不得而知。针对这个问题,本文提出了使动用法的"双音化"这一新的想法。无论是单音节还是双音节,使动用法都是利用"动+宾"这一语序来表示致使意义的。历史上消失的只是单音节的使动用法。其演变过程为:R→VR。这个历时过程直接反映在现代汉语的谓词系统,即R(不及物)-VR(及物)的对立上。
