女性人物的身份寻求：从后殖民主义角度分析《喜福会》

【摘要】：谭恩美是20世纪最著名的美籍华裔女性作家之一。1989年,她的第一部作品《喜福会》就已经发表,在全美产生了轰动并使她一夜成名。这部小说描写四个华裔家庭中中国母亲与他们的女儿从误解到和解的故事,以四对母女的故事为框架,生动描述了第一代华人移民母亲与第二代成长于美国的华裔女儿的生活境遇,思想变化。本文采用了霍米?巴巴的后殖民主义理论来分析小说中女性人物的身份探寻过程,共分为七个部分。前两章主要介绍了谭恩美和她的作品《喜福会》,以及国内外研究现状。第三章为理论框架。霍米?巴巴的混杂性理论是后殖民主义研究的一个重要分支。“混杂”为身困多元文化并面临身份问题的群体提供一个“第三空间”。第四章讲述了文化混杂在小说中的体现。生活在移民国家,日常生活中的文化差异频繁出现,正是因为这些差异而引起了文化冲突,使得主人公们对自己的身份产生困惑,因而第五章谈到人物探寻自己的双重文化身份的过程。第六章主要讲了身份的建立,第七章是本文的结论部分。通过一系列的分析,本文最终得出结论,华裔在经历困惑与不安,挣扎与排斥后终将确立自己真正的身份。他们并不是纯粹的中国人或美国人,而是属于“第三空间”。该论文的研究为学者们对谭恩美的研究提供了新的思路和视角。同时,它也为华裔和其他移民或族裔群体在全球化背景下的文化身份构建提供一定启示。
[Abstract]:Amy Tan is one of the most famous Chinese-American female writers in 20th century. In 1989, her first work, the Joy Luck Club, was published. It created a sensation in the United States and made her famous overnight. The novel depicts the stories of Chinese mothers and their daughters in four Chinese-American families, from misunderstanding to reconciliation, and is based on the stories of four mothers and daughters. It vividly describes the living conditions and ideological changes of the first generation of Chinese immigrant mothers and the second generation of Chinese daughters who grew up in the United States. Baba's postcolonial theory analyzes the process of searching for the identity of female characters in the novel, which is divided into seven parts. The first two chapters mainly introduce Amy Tan and her work "Joy Luck Club". The third chapter is the theoretical framework. Baba's hybrid theory is an important branch of postcolonial studies. "hybridity" provides a "third space" for groups with multiple cultures and identity problems. Chapter 4th tells of the cultural intermingling in the novel. Living in an immigrant country. The cultural differences in daily life appear frequently. It is precisely because of these differences that they cause cultural conflicts, which make the protagonists confused about their identity. Therefore, chapter 5th talks about the process of people seeking their dual cultural identity. Chapter 6th mainly talks about the establishment of identity, chapter 7th is the conclusion of this article. Through a series of analysis, this paper finally comes to a conclusion. Chinese will eventually establish their true identity after experiencing confusion and uneasiness, struggle and exclusion. They are not pure Chinese or American. It belongs to "the third space". The research of this paper provides a new way of thinking and perspective for the scholars to study Amy Tan. It also provides some enlightenment for the cultural identity construction of Chinese and other immigrants or ethnic groups in the context of globalization.
