《睡谷传奇》的隐喻与思维风格分析

【摘要】：华盛顿·欧文是美国著名的文学家,被称之为"美国文学之父"。其代表作《睡谷传奇》充分表现了他的意识形态和对当时社会的种种讽刺。作者通过对主角形象的刻画和日常生活中的大量隐喻,表达了对主要人物伊卡包德·克莱恩、布鲁姆·凡·布兰特、卡特琳娜等或讽刺或赞赏的情感。同时,这种隐喻在一定程度上代表了欧文自身的情感喜好,表现了其内心世界的真正情感。通过对《睡谷传奇》中大量隐喻的了解与分析,我们能对该书的主旨有更清晰的认识,能更深入地认识欧文的精神世界。
[Abstract]:Washington Irving is a famous American writer. It is called the Father of American Literature. His masterpiece, the Legend of Sleepy Valley, fully expresses his ideology and all sorts of sarcasm about the society at that time. The author portrays the characters of the protagonists and a lot of metaphors in daily life. Expressing feelings of sarcasm or admiration for the main characters Ikapod Klein, Bloom Van Brent, Catalina, etc. At the same time, the metaphor partly represents Owen's own emotional preferences. Through the understanding and analysis of a large number of metaphors in the Legend of Sleeping Valley, we can have a clearer understanding of the main idea of the book and a deeper understanding of Owen's spiritual world.
