矛盾与焦虑—《英伦魔法师》的哥特元素研究

【摘要】：《英伦魔法师》是当代英国作家苏珊娜.克拉克斯的首部小说作品,在英国乃至全球获得广泛赞誉和肯定,但现有相关研究尚少。本文主要研究该作品中的哥特式元素,从《英伦魔法师》的意象,角色和情节三个层面分别论证了该作品的哥特性,并挖掘出其中包含的不同“矛盾”和反映出的不同“焦虑”。从意象上看,同一物体中包含两种不同的含义,这种表里不一引发对物体真实含义的困惑。从人物上看,角色个性和设定自相矛盾,角色关系冲突明显,反映了对不可控主观因素和客观现实的无助感。从情节上看,该作品诡异而恐怖叙事体现了明显的哥特性,并在某些情节中包含了传统哥特范式中的两性冲突和当代社会的新矛盾,引发出一系列的恐惧。该作品借用传统哥特文学元素反映当下社会问题,是“哥特”生命力的经久不衰的又一力证,也对同类作品取得市场成功具有一定参考意义。
[Abstract]:This paper mainly studies the Gothic elements in the works , and finds out the different " contradictions " and the different " anxiety " in the world .
