美国现代主义文学的地方主义与世界主义

【摘要】：文学史大多将美国现代主义文学分为两大独立阵营:走国际路线的世界主义作家和倡导地方主义的本土作家。本文借助当代文化地理学和后殖民研究的理论发现,对上述传统二元划分提出质疑,认为美国现代主义文学的"世界主义"和"地方主义"相互交织,彼此互动,构成美国现代主义文学发展的核心动能,而小杂志在此过程中功不可没。小杂志为美国本土现代主义与欧洲乃至世界现代主义文学的交流提供了对话的平台。通过上述讨论,本文旨在证明:美国现代主义文学的世界主义和地方主义是对"时空压缩"双重影响的美国式回应,其植根地方性的世界主义和放眼世界的地方主义已经预示了一个世纪之后的今天最前沿的理论概念——"文化间性"。
[Abstract]:Most literary history divides American modernist literature into two independent camps: cosmopolitan writers who follow the international line and local writers who advocate localism. With the help of the theories of contemporary cultural geography and postcolonial studies, this paper questions the traditional division of dualism and holds that the cosmopolitanism and localism of American modernist literature are intertwined and interact with each other. It constitutes the core kinetic energy of American modernist literature, and small magazines contribute to this process. Small magazines provide a platform for dialogue between American modernism and modernist literature in Europe and the world. Through the above discussion, this paper aims to prove that the cosmopolitanism and localism of American modernist literature are American responses to the dual influence of "space-time compression". Rooted in local cosmopolitanism and cosmopolitanism, it has foreshadowed the most advanced theoretical concept, "intercultural", a century later.
