津巴多人性观视阈下的性恶景观——评奥弗德的《白脸》

【摘要】：奥弗德在《白脸》里描写了美国种族主义社会的深层意识和欲望冲动,探测同时代作家未曾触及的阴暗角落,揭示了种族歧视文化如何使黑人变成精神"奴隶"的主体性生产过程。该小说在创作手法上顺应了自我暴露和自我悲哀的城市自然主义文学传统,强化了性恶书写的色彩。从津巴多的人性观来看,奥弗德在这部小说里对人性善与人性恶的交织描写凸显了美国社会在20世纪三四十年代的复杂种族形势和黑人社区的内在问题,展示了系统力量之下的人性之恶、情境力量之下的人性之恶和个体力量之下的人性之恶。奥弗德关于人性之恶的描写和主题阐释极大地提升了美国黑人城市自然主义作品的文学价值,其主题寓意与20世纪20年代哈莱姆文艺复兴时期的黑人作品相比,的确前进了一大步。
[Abstract]:In White face, Offord describes the deep consciousness and urge of American racist society, and explores the dark corners that contemporary writers have not touched. It reveals how the culture of racial discrimination makes black people become spiritual slaves. The novel conforms to the urban naturalism literary tradition of self-exposure and self-sadness and strengthens the color of sex evil writing. From the perspective of Zinbardo's view of human nature, Offord's intertwined description of good and evil of human nature in this novel highlights the complex racial situation of American society in the 1930s and 1940s and the inherent problems of the black community. It shows the evil of human nature under the system power, the human nature evil under the situational power and the human nature evil under the individual power. Offord's description and thematic interpretation of the evil of human nature have greatly enhanced the literary value of the works of urban naturalism in the United States, and their thematic implications are compared with those of the Harlem Renaissance works of the 1920s. It is a big step forward.
