从成长小说角度解读《人间天堂》

【摘要】：弗朗西斯·斯科特·菲茨杰拉德作为二十世纪最具才华的小说家之一,被誉为“爵士乐时代的桂冠诗人”,他创作了五部长篇小说以及多部短篇小说。《人间天堂》作为他的第一部长篇小说,自出版以来,以其半自传写作方式,抒情的文笔,紧扣时代脉搏,尤其是作为新一代年轻人代表的阿莫瑞,引起了读者和评论家的广泛关注。《人间天堂》讲述的是一个自幼受到母亲过度关爱的小男孩阿莫瑞·布莱恩,从预备学校到大学,在学习、生活和爱情上遇到的一系列问题,以及在经历第一次世界大战,遭受了失败的感情,陷入迷茫和失落,最后重新思考了人生,从无知到成熟的成长过程。小说以生动的笔触展示了当时美国“迷惘的一代”的真实生活,以及以阿莫瑞为代表的青年一代在成长道路上所遭遇的迷惘与困惑,菲茨杰拉德因此被称为“爵士乐时代”的代言人。本文试图从成长小说的角度解读《人间天堂》,并从情节人物和结构方面分析主人公的成长历程,以及该小说所体现的成长特征。本文由引言、正文和结语三个部分构成。引言部分对菲茨杰拉德及其《人间天堂》做出简评,并总结国内外学者对该小说的研究现状,提出论文的研究目的和意义以及创新之处。正文部分分为四章。第一章回顾了成长小说的发展以及成长小说在情节、人物和结构上所体现的普遍特点,以此阐明《人间天堂》是一部典型的成长小说。第二章从分析该小说的情节来说明小说的成长特征。第三章从分析该小说的人物来说明该小说的成长特征。成长小说中的人物一般包括长辈,爱人和小伙伴,他们在主人公成长过程中发挥着非常重要的作用。第四章从小说的开放式结局,第三人称叙述视角和半自传的写作方式等结构方面分析了该部小说的成长特征。结语部分从情节、人物和结构上总结了《人间天堂》作为一部传统成长小说的特征。此外,阿莫瑞的成长经历对处于成长困惑中的青少年具有普遍的教育意义。从成长小说角度解析《人间天堂》,丰富了此部小说的研究,从而拓宽了成长小说的研究领域。
[Abstract]:As one of the most talented novelists of the twentieth century, Francis Scott Fitzgerald was hailed as the "laureate poet of the jazz age." He wrote five novels and several short stories. Heaven on Earth, as his first novel, since its publication, with its semi-autobiographical writing style, lyrical writing, close to the pulse of the times, Especially Amory, the representative of a new generation of young people, has attracted a lot of attention from readers and critics. "Paradise on Earth" is about a little boy, Amory Blaine, who has been overloved by his mother since childhood, from preparatory school to college. In learning, life and love encountered a series of problems, as well as in the experience of the first World War, suffered from the feelings of failure, lost and lost, and finally rethinking life, from ignorance to mature growth process. With vivid brushwork, the novel shows the real life of the "lost generation" in the United States at that time, as well as the confusion and confusion encountered by the young generation represented by Amory on the way of growing up. Fitzgerald was therefore called the spokesman of the Jazz Age. This paper attempts to interpret paradise on earth from the point of view of the growing up novel, and analyzes the growth process of the protagonist from the aspects of plot characters and structure, as well as the characteristics of the growth of the novel. This paper consists of three parts: introduction, text and conclusion. The introduction makes a brief comment on Fitzgerald and his Paradise on Earth, summarizes the current research situation of this novel by scholars at home and abroad, and puts forward the purpose, significance and innovation of the thesis. The text is divided into four chapters. The first chapter reviews the development of the growth novel and the general characteristics of the plot, characters and structure of the growth novel, and then explains that paradise on earth is a typical growth novel. The second chapter analyzes the plot of the novel to illustrate the growth characteristics of the novel. The third chapter analyzes the characters of the novel to illustrate the growth characteristics of the novel. The characters in the novels include elders, lovers and partners, who play a very important role in the process of the protagonist's growth. Chapter four analyzes the growth characteristics of the novel from the perspective of the third person narration and the writing style of the semi-autobiography. The conclusion summarizes the characteristics of paradise on earth as a traditional growth novel in terms of plot, characters and structure. In addition, Amory's growth experience is of universal educational significance to teenagers in growing confusion. The analysis of paradise on earth from the point of view of the growth novel enriches the study of this novel and widens the research field of it.
