[Abstract]:With the development of economy, the competition of international status is no longer confined to pure economic competition, culture as the soft power of international competition becomes more and more important. In keeping with the development of the times, the "decision on deepening the Cultural system Reform and promoting the Great Development and Prosperity of Socialist Culture", adopted in full by the sixth Plenary session of the 17th CPC Central Committee, for the first time put forward the strategy of going out of culture. Promote Chinese culture to the world, improve the influence and appeal of our culture. The Chinese nation has a history of five thousand years up and down, and Chinese culture has a profound inside story. As a treasure of traditional culture, Chinese medicine runs through the history of the Chinese nation. It covers the philosophy of the Chinese people and embodies the way of life of the Chinese people. The way to get along with nature has great value of communication. Chinese and Western medicine are rooted in different cultural backgrounds, and there are great differences, but these two are not incompatible with each other. "Chinese and Western medicine belong to the same medical culture and have the same object of study and common social functions," he said. The dialogue between shared values and shared health responsibilities is frequent and deep. Western medical culture is the common wealth of mankind all over the world, and there is compatibility between the two, and their compatibility is greater than that of incompatibility. "[1] they complement each other as if they are the yin and yang poles in Taiji. In addition, Chinese medicine can not only fill the deficiencies of Western medicine, but also provide a different perspective for the world. For example, the whole concept of "the unity of nature and man" and the guiding ideology of "dialectical treatment" of the basic theory of the five behaviors of yin and yang can open a new window for many problems that appear in the world today. However, as a foreign thing, Chinese medicine is in conflict with many ideas in the western world, so it is very difficult to obtain the cultural identity of the western society. Therefore, we should constantly communicate and spread the culture, let the Westerners more contact with the culture of traditional Chinese medicine, understand the culture of traditional Chinese medicine, and realize the cognition of Chinese medicine in the process of continuous communication. Although China has been through more than 30 years of reform and opening up, for most foreigners, China is still a relatively mysterious country. Those foreigners who have not come to China can only learn about China through the Internet or other media. Media plays a great role in constructing people's cognition of environment. Newspapers have a long history in Britain and have penetrated into the daily life of Britons to become their reading habits. Even when the Internet is more and more developed, British newspapers still have a large number of audiences. In this study, five major British newspapers (the Times, the Independent, the Daily Telegraph, the Guardian, the Financial Times) reported on Chinese medicine from 1978 to 2015. The aim is to find out what characteristics the British media have in constructing the image of Chinese medicine. According to the characteristics of these reports, we should not only think about the "pseudo environment" from the horizontal level. It also explores the "cultivation" of the Chinese medicine image created by the British newspapers and periodicals on the audience's concept, which will have a great impact on the audience's cognition. In addition, this study will explore the focus of British newspapers on TCM, understand the news framework of their reports, and put forward the external communication strategies of TCM according to the results of the study.
