【摘要】：多丽丝·莱辛(1919-2013)被誉为继伍尔芙之后英国最伟大的女性作家。2007年,瑞典文学院授予莱辛诺贝尔文学奖,理由是“她用怀疑、热情、构想的力量来审视一个分裂的文明,其作品如同一部女性经验的史诗”。莱辛因此而成为第十一位获得诺贝尔文学奖的女性作家。莱辛的创作生涯长达六十年,其作品题材广阔,内涵丰富,几乎涉及二十世纪的所有重大问题。《野草在歌唱》是莱辛的第一部作品,这部小说不仅让刚到伦敦的莱辛一夜成名,而且为作者随后漫长的创作生涯打下了基础。因此,它在莱辛的创作生涯中占据十分重要的地位。小说中女主人公玛丽特纳的殖民地成长经历、童年贫穷的生活以及不幸婚姻生活都深深地打上了作者莱辛非洲生活的烙印。作为第一部直接表现南部非洲种族隔离的作品,小说为读者展示了英属殖民地殖民者和被殖民者人们的真实生活状况。莱辛将社会、历史、种族、性别和心理等因素糅合起来,显示了殖民主义和种族隔离的罪恶后果。本文从家庭创伤、种族创伤、生态创伤和文化创伤四个角度对《野草在歌唱》进行详尽分析,证实莱辛作为最先绘制殖民地真实生活面貌的英国作家,对殖民地及其人民充满了人道主义同情。
