【摘要】：维多利亚晚期作家乔治·罗伯特·吉辛（1857-1903）的小说《新格拉布街》（1891）描绘了十九世纪末伦敦文坛上艰难谋生的作家。这本小说被公认为吉辛创作的巅峰，且被冠以英语文学中最伟大的讲述作家题材的小说。 尽管国内外已对这部小说的进行了广泛研究，但是小说中的人物身份没有得到足够的重视。主人公们的身份危机不仅是角色塑造的重要元素，也深化了小说的主旨。本文探究了小说中主要人物的精神世界，提出成人阶段的两大类身份危机：一是事业缺乏成就感，二是爱情和家庭中不健全的亲密关系。论文进一步揭示了危机的原因在于个人性格和社会期望间的矛盾：前者涉及人物的早期经历；后者则与人际环境、小说反映的历史背景有关。《新格拉布街》中的身份困境反映了时代变革中文人的生存危机和精神危机。 本文借鉴埃里克森的身份理论，，运用心理分析方法探讨了五位主人公的身份问题，详细阐述了危机的形成、发展和解决。引言总结了以往的吉辛研究，分析了相关身份理论，并发展出个性化的观点。第一章探究埃德温·雷尔登的事业和婚姻危机；第二章分析艾尔弗雷德·尤尔在文学成就和家庭权威两方面所面临的身份问题；第三章研究他的女儿玛丽安·尤尔的性别和职业所引发的双重危机；第四章讨论了贾斯伯·米尔文和艾米·尤尔——两个功利主义者因择偶而产生的身份困扰。 本文的创新之处在于：一、从心理社会的角度发掘研究吉辛作品的全新切入点，补充、发展了现有研究；二、依据构成稳定身份的不同来源，将成人阶段的身份危机重新分类，并揭示了身份源头的变动和缺失会直接威胁主人公的原有身份；三、结合宏观的历史视角探究危机根本原因，反映社会环境对个体发展的影响。
[Abstract]:George Robert Gisin, a late Victorian writer (1857-1903) "New Grab Street." (1891). The novel depicts a struggling writer in London at the end of 19th century. The novel is recognized as the pinnacle of Gisin's creation. It is also called the greatest novel in English literature about the writer's subject matter. Although this novel has been extensively studied at home and abroad, the identity of characters in the novel has not been paid enough attention to. The identity crisis of the protagonists is not only an important element of character shaping. This paper explores the spiritual world of the main characters in the novel and puts forward two kinds of identity crisis in the adult stage: one is the lack of achievement in the cause. Secondly, the relationship between love and family is not perfect. The paper further reveals that the reason of the crisis lies in the contradiction between personal character and social expectation: the former involves the character's early experience; The latter is related to the interpersonal environment and the historical background of the novel. The dilemma of identity in New Grab Street reflects the existential and spiritual crisis of the Chinese people in the era of change. Using Eriksson's identity theory for reference, this paper discusses the identity of the five protagonists by means of psychoanalysis, and expounds in detail the formation, development and solution of the crisis. Analyzes the relevant identity theory and develops a personalized perspective. Chapter one explores Edwin Reardon's career and marital crisis; The second chapter analyzes the identity problems faced by Alfredo Jul in terms of literary achievement and family authority; The third chapter studies the double crisis caused by the sex and occupation of his daughter Marianne Jul. Chapter 4th discusses the identity problems of Jasper Milvin and Emily Jul, two utilitarians who choose their spouse. The innovation of this paper lies in: first, from the psychological and social point of view to explore the study of Jixin works of a new entry point, complement, the development of existing research; Secondly, according to the different sources of the stable identity, the identity crisis in the adult stage is reclassified, and it is revealed that the change and absence of the identity source will directly threaten the protagonist's original identity; Third, explore the root cause of the crisis from the macroscopic historical perspective, and reflect the influence of social environment on individual development.
