【摘要】：作为一名杰出的美国南方女作家,尤多拉·韦尔蒂主要以其短篇小说著称。《绿色帷幕及其它故事》是韦尔蒂的第一部小说集,亦是其成名作。韦尔蒂的小说主要以美国南方的历史和社会为背景,不仅发掘生活的底蕴,而且探索人性的奥秘。她更多着眼于对人物内心世界的探寻以及对人物现实心理的解读。在《绿色帷幕及其它故事》中,韦尔蒂用细腻的笔调将美国经济变革和经济萧条下“南方畸零人”怪诞而扭曲的内心世界刻画地淋漓尽致。可以说这部小说高度浓缩了韦尔蒂短篇小说的写作特色,同时也突出体现了韦尔蒂笔下畸形人物的变态心理。本文试图通过变态心理学的研究来对比、印证、阐释韦尔蒂作品中的“畸零人”形象。论文共分为以下五部分：第一章为绪论部分,首先提出了本论文研究的问题,即：尤多拉·韦尔蒂小说的变态心理学特征；其次简要介绍了作者韦尔蒂生平及其作品《绿色帷幕及其它故事》,以及国内外学者对韦尔蒂作品,尤其是《绿色帷幕及其它故事》研究现状的综述,同时指明研究目的及主要研究方法。第二章是对变态心理学相关理论的概述。本章主要介绍了变态心理学的涵义,分类及主要特征,同时指出应用变态心理学分析“畸零人”文学形象的可能性,以及韦尔蒂切入变态心理的内在动因。第三章主要从变态心理学的角度分析《绿色帷幕及其它故事》中“畸零人”形象。本章试图将变态心理学与小说中典型的畸形人物联系起来,对男女主人公在重压下产生的各种心理障碍,其行为表现及内在原因进行详细分析。第四章分析了韦尔蒂表现“南方畸零人”变态心理所采用的独特有效的文学技巧,主要包括场景的选择,自然环境的烘托以及象征手法的运用。通过将其创作技巧与小说变态人物刻画的完美结合,韦尔蒂精准地再现了变态人物的变态世界。第五章为结论部分,总结论文第三、四部分,同时指出本论文的学术价值和意义。总之,《绿色帷幕及其它故事》中的很多故事都展示了心理变态的“畸零人”的悲剧：人的安全感遭到威胁,人的心理防御机制遭到破坏,人的自我价值无法实现,从而造成一系列的心理结构紊乱、倒错、倾斜,轻则神经衰弱,重则精神分裂。所以,在美国南方“畸零人”群像中,韦尔蒂笔下的密西西比人形象鲜明、独树一帜,值得我们细细品味。

This paper attempts to contrast, through the study of abnormal psychology which explain the works of Welty's "marginal" image. The thesis consists of five parts as follows:
The first chapter is the introduction part, firstly put forward the research problem of this paper, namely: the abnormal psychology in Eudora Welty's novels; followed by a brief introduction to the author Welty's life and works of "green curtain and other stories", as well as domestic and foreign scholars on the works of Welty, especially the "review of a curtain of green and other story situation, at the same time specify the research purpose and main research methods.
The second chapter is an overview of relevant theories of psychology. This chapter mainly introduces the meaning of abnormal psychology, classification and main characteristics, and points out that the possibility of the application of abnormal psychology analysis "marginal" literary image, and Welty cut the internal cause of abnormal psychology.
The third chapter mainly from the perspective of abnormal psychology "curtain of green and other stories" "marginal" image. The perfect combination of the writing techniques and characterization of novel metamorphosis accurately reproduces the metamorphosis, Welty figures metamorphosis of the world.
The fifth chapter is the conclusion part, summarizes the third, fourth part of the thesis, and points out the academic value and significance of this paper.
In a word, "a lot of stories and other stories" in the green curtain have demonstrated a psychopathic "marginal" Tragedy: People's sense of safety is threatened, the psychological defense mechanism of human destruction, people's self value can not be achieved, resulting in a series of psychological disorders, perversion, tilt, light neurasthenia, severe schizophrenia. So, in the south of the United States "marginal" images in Welty's Mississippi vivid, become an independent school, we should savor.
