【摘要】：托马斯·沃尔夫（Thomas Wolfe）（1900—1938）是20世纪30年代美国文坛上的最伟大小说家之一。一生共创作了四部长篇小说和两部短篇小说集等作品。本文以《天使，望故乡》为例，通过分析作品中的追寻主题，以期对作家思想形成一个全面的认识。本文主要分为绪论、正文、结语三个部分。绪论部分综述了沃尔夫在国内外的研究现状，并指出研究意义：通过分析作品中的追寻主题，对作家思想以及时代形成全面深刻的认识。第一章论述了美国文化中的追寻传统以及沃尔夫思想中的追寻情结。美国自建国起就具有了追寻的传统。随着时代的发展，，追寻的含义也发生了变化。沃尔夫受到传统的影响，在他的思想中具有一种追寻情结。这种追寻的意识体现在他的自然观、时间观和对精神家园的追寻三个方面。第二章论述了《天使，望故乡》中体现出的追寻主题。本节从追寻者的追寻目标和追寻过程两个方面论述了作品中所体现出的追寻情结。小说中，人物一直在以自己的方式执着地寻找着精神的家园、灵魂的归宿地。第三章分析了追寻主题的价值意义，并对其进行文化的反思。一方面，作家受到爱默生的影响，推崇自然，倡导人们只有回归自然才能实现真正的解脱。另一方面，他又进一步发展了超验主义的观点，认为只有回归最本真的自我，才能找到个体的存在价值，才能找到整个社会的生存出路。
[Abstract]:Thomas Wolf (Thomas Wolfe) (1900 - 1938) is one of the greatest novelists in American Literature in the 1930s. His life has created four novels and two short stories and other works. In this paper, < > Look Homeward angel, for example, through the analysis of the work of the theme of searching, in order to form a comprehensive understanding of the writer's thoughts.
This article is mainly divided into three parts: introduction, text and conclusion.
The introduction summarizes the research status of Wolf at home and abroad, and points out the significance of the research. By analyzing the pursuit theme in the works, we have a comprehensive and profound understanding of the writer's thoughts and times.
The first chapter discusses the American culture tradition and the pursuit of Wolf's thought of seeking complex. Since the founding of the United States is the pursuit of tradition. With the development of the times, the pursuit of meaning has changed. Under the influence of Wolf, is a pursuit complex in his mind. This pursuit of the embodiment of the concept of consciousness in his view of time, and the pursuit of spiritual home in three aspects.
The second chapter discusses the "angel at home show > in the theme of searching. The third chapter analyzes the significance of the theme of the pursuit of value, and the cultural reflection on it. On the other hand, he further developed the transcendental point of view, think that only return to the most authentic self in order to find the value of individual existence, and to find the survival way of the whole society.
