从语体视角解读《珍珠》中的诗体对话与冥思

【摘要】：中古英语头韵体诗歌《珍珠》反映了一种敏感的语言意识。自十九世纪六十年代以来,其语言的多重象征意义受到了批评界的广泛关注。以往的研究认为诗中体现出两种不同的意识形态,即宫廷爱情价值观和宗教价值,但诗的结论似乎模棱两可；至于诗歌的主题是慰藉悼亡还是宗教冥想,学者们也未能定论。本研究尝试从巴赫金的语体理论视角探讨以上问题。巴赫金认为,文学语言体裁的研究不应局限于文学语境之中,而应同时关注广义语体的特点,如主题构成(thematic composition),文体特点(style)以及词义图式(semantic plan)等,因为在原初语体向复杂语体转换时这些特点会发生变化并得到更新。然而由于文学语言具有鲜明的个人风格特点,很难找到一种适用于讨论不同文学文本语体的系统定义。本研究首次尝试对《珍珠》中的珍珠女与梦者语体特点加以区分。研究者试图通过对相关文本,如中世纪法语诗歌《玫瑰传奇》,薄伽丘的《奥林匹亚》以及奥古斯丁《论基督教教义》等的对比解读,发现诗中的对话性,并重点分析了两种寓言阐释观在其语言中的体现。文本分析表明梦者与珍珠女的语体因其修辞功能及目的的差异而显著不同,这种不同与中世纪修辞学中的两种寓言阐释模式相关联。通过对话中珍珠女的评价式教诲和梦者的回应式理解,两种语体在和解中得到更新。在诗的末尾,梦者在圣城幻象的冥思中走出了丧女的悲痛,他对相聚的渴望则转化成为了对神启真理的渴求。梦者尝试跨越界河的举动标志着冥想狂喜的体验。语言的更新体现了梦者的认知转变。最终,梦者得以带着新的洞察与情感理解圣经文本与圣祭仪式的寓意。
[Abstract]:The alliteration poetry of Middle English, Pearl, reflects a sensitive sense of language. Since 1860s, The multiple symbolic meanings of his language have received wide attention from the critics. Previous studies have shown that there are two different ideologies in poetry, namely, court love value and religious value, but the conclusion of the poem seems to be ambiguous; As to whether the theme of poetry is mourning or religious meditation, scholars have not yet concluded. This study attempts to explore the above issues from the perspective of Bakhtin's stylistic theory. The study of literary language genre should not be confined to the literary context, but should also pay attention to the characteristics of the broad style, such as thematic composition, stylistic features, semantic semantic planing and so on. Because these characteristics will change and be updated when the original style changes to the complex style. However, because the literary language has the distinct individual style characteristic, It is difficult to find a systematic definition applicable to the discussion of different literary texts. This study is the first attempt to distinguish the characteristics of Pearl women from dreamers in Pearl. For example, in the French poetry of the Middle Ages "the Legend of the Rose", the "Olympia" by Pogacchio, and the "on Christian doctrines" by Augustine, the dialogical nature of the poem was found. The text analysis shows that the stylistics of dreamers and pearls are different from each other because of their different rhetorical functions and purposes. This difference is related to the two models of parable interpretation in medieval rhetoric. Through the evaluative instruction of the Pearl woman in the dialogue and the responsive understanding of the dreamer, the two styles are renewed in reconciliation. At the end of the poem, The dreamer, in the contemplation of the vision of the Holy City, has come out of the grief of the bereavement, His desire to meet translates into a desire for truth from God. The dreamer's attempt to cross the river marks an ecstatic experience of meditation. The renewal of language reflects the dreamer's cognitive shift. The dreamer is able to understand with new insight and emotion the meaning of biblical texts and sacred rites.
