从新历史主义角度解读凯特—肖班的《觉醒》

【摘要】：凯特.肖班的力作《觉醒》被誉为女权主义的经典小说，，它也被列为美国高中和大学的必读书目之一。目前关于这部小说的研究主要是从女权主义和象征主义的视角分析其女主人公艾德娜的觉醒。虽然一些评论家提到过反叛和僭越这个主题，但是没有人从新历史主义的角度研究过这一主题。本论文试着从新历史主义的文本的历史性和历史的文本性研究这个主题，以揭示社会影响给人物身上打上的烙印和肖班对于妇女历史地位的重建。通过分析，得出以下结论：《觉醒》展示了人物在特殊历史时期变革的思想影响下的反叛和僭越，也反映了肖班对于十九世纪末妇女社会历史地位的重建。
[Abstract]:Kate Shaoban's masterpiece, Awakening, is hailed as a classic feminist novel. It is also listed as one of the required readings in American high schools and colleges. The current study of the novel is mainly to analyze the awakening of the heroine Edna from the perspective of feminism and symbolism, although some critics have mentioned that. The theme of rebellion and transgression, However, no one has ever studied this subject from the perspective of new historicism. In order to reveal the social influence on the characters and Shaoban's reconstruction of women's historical status. Through analysis, we can draw the following conclusions: the Awakening shows the rebelliousness and transgression of the characters under the influence of the thought of the change in the special historical period. It also reflects Shaoban's reconstruction of women's social and historical status at the end of 19th century.
