酷儿理论视域下的《时时刻刻》解读

【摘要】：美国当代作家迈克尔坎宁安的小说《时时刻刻》于1998年发表后，一举获得当年的“笔会/福克纳小说奖”与翌年的“普利策小说奖”。小说更于2002年被搬上银幕，获得金球奖与奥斯卡奖的多项提名。《时时刻刻》以伍尔夫的《达洛维夫人》为线索，巧妙的把英国作家弗吉尼亚·伍尔夫的故事与另外两个现代女性的生活编织在一起。通过对20世纪不同年代、不同地点三个女人一天的经历与选择的描述，坎宁安表达了他对性与性别自由选择观点的支持以及建设和谐社会的愿望。作为九十年代在西方兴起的新的性理论——酷儿理论——质疑传统的异性恋霸权，反对严格的社会两分结构，并且鼓励人们自由的选择和生活，旨在消除一切歧视和偏见，，构建和谐安好的现世。小说《时时刻刻》中的主人公身上都有着明显的“酷儿”特点，本文主要从分析酷儿理论的观点和主张入手，通过对主要人物的分析，探讨小说与酷儿理论的契合之处。本论文一共由五部分组成：第一部分对迈克尔·坎宁安、《时时刻刻》以及本篇论文的篇章结构进行简要概述；第二部分介绍了国内外对于《时时刻刻》的研究现状以及本篇论文的研究意义；第三部分作为整篇论文的理论基础，阐述了酷儿理论的起源、发展，主张以及在文学批评中的应用；第四部分运用酷儿理论的三个主张分析《时时刻刻》的人物，包括：运用酷儿理论反对异性恋与同性恋两分的主张，分析弗吉尼亚和劳拉的异性恋霸权的压迫与反抗；根据酷儿理论挑战性与性别两分的主张，阐释了小说主人公双性同体和同性恋的倾向；通过对主人公最后选择的分析，表达了小说与酷儿理论崇尚个人自由、共建和谐社会的共同目标；第五部分总结了全文，强调酷儿理论与《时时刻刻》的契合之处并讨论了本文的局限性。
[Abstract]:The American contemporary writer Michael Cunningham's novel "the hour" was published in 1998 and won the pen / Faulkner novel Award and the next year's "Pulitzer Fiction Award".The novel was put on screen in 2002, winning multiple nominations for the Golden Globes and Oscars. "all the time" follows Woolf's "Mrs. Dalloway,"Skillfully weave the story of British writer Virginia Woolf with the lives of two other modern women.By describing the experiences and choices of three women in different places and in different times of the 20th century, Cunningham expressed his support for the idea of free choice of sex and gender and his desire to build a harmonious society.As a new sexual theory that emerged in the West in the 1990s-Quill's theory-questioned traditional heterosexual hegemony, opposed the strict dichotomy of society, and encouraged people to choose and live freely, with the aim of eliminating all discrimination and prejudice.Build a harmonious and peaceful world.The protagonists in the novel "all the time" have obvious "cool" characteristics. This article mainly starts with the analysis of the views and opinions of the theory of "queer", and through the analysis of the main characters, probes into the coincidence between the novel and the theory of "queer".This thesis is composed of five parts: the first part gives a brief overview of Michael Cunningham, "the hour" and the text structure of this paper;The second part introduces the domestic and international research status and significance of this paper, the third part, as the theoretical basis of the whole paper, describes the origin and development of the theory of queer.The fourth part analyzes the characters of "every hour" by using the three ideas of "queer theory", including: using the theory of queer to oppose the dichotomy between heterosexuality and homosexuality,This paper analyzes the oppression and resistance of heterosexual hegemony in Virginia and Laura, explains the tendency of the protagonists to be androgynous and gay according to Quayle's theory of challenge and gender, and analyzes the final choice of the protagonist.It expresses the common goal of advocating individual freedom and building a harmonious society in the novel and the theory of queer. The fifth part summarizes the full text, emphasizes the coincidence between the theory and the "every hour", and discusses the limitations of this paper.
