追寻与困惑—《莫瑞斯》人物形象分析

【摘要】：爱德华·摩根·福斯特是二十世纪英国享誉世界的小说家。他的重要小说之一《莫瑞斯》通过描述中产阶级的质疑并放弃信仰基督教，，多元的性取向,阶级“联结”等状况，展现了他们的非主流观念。通过初期大量阅读相关文献发现国内外学者从不同角度对《莫瑞斯》提出了自己的见解和观点，如从权力话语、文化研究、性别认同等对《莫瑞斯》的分析进行了分析。其中在分析同性恋的探索过程中也有些论文涉及到阶级和宗教因素，但至今没有对阶级和宗教因素进行专门分析。本文分析小说《莫瑞斯》人物形象追寻作为他者观念的非主流观念的过程和遇到的困惑。对人物形象对非主流观念的追寻和困惑从三个方面进行探讨：有关宗教的观念、有关阶级的观点和有关性取向的观念。文中主要分析了非主流思想追寻过程及人物形象在追寻的非主流观念时困惑的原因及表现。小说人物形象对非主流观念的追寻过程和困惑的解决方式体现了福斯特的人文关怀。本文由五部分组成。第一章对小说的研究现状、理论及论文写作目的进行了说明，指出从他者角度分析人物形象的可行性。第二章首先就“他者”做了说明，指出了“他者”的含义及到目前为止各学者对于“他者”的论述；然后在从宗教信仰方面、阶级观念方面和性取向方面分析具有非主流观念的人物形象。第三章分别分析了莫瑞斯、克莱夫、阿列克等人物形象追寻宗教信仰方面、阶级观念方面和性取向方面非主流观念的过程。主流价值观中存在僵化保守问题促使小说中莫瑞斯、克莱夫、阿列克等人物形象对宗教、阶级和性取向方面的非主流观念的追寻。第四章分别分析了人物形象追寻非主流观念中的困惑。在此过程中，主流观念带来外在的压迫和内心的痛苦使小说中莫瑞斯、克莱夫等人物形象在追寻中充满困惑。第五章结论部分论文指出《莫瑞斯》呈现了20世纪初社会转型中的英国具有非主流思想的群体，福斯特人文关怀的思想为正确对待具有非主流思想的群体提供了有益的思路。
[Abstract]:Edward Morgan Foster is a world-renowned novelist in England in the twentieth century.One of his important novels, Maurice, shows his non-mainstream ideas by describing middle class skepticism and renouncing Christianity, pluralistic sexual orientation, class "connection" and so on.Through reading a large number of related documents in the early stage, it is found that scholars at home and abroad have put forward their own opinions and opinions on "Morris" from different angles, such as power discourse, cultural research, gender identity and so on.In the process of exploring homosexuality, some papers involve class and religion, but so far there is no special analysis of class and religion.This paper analyzes the process and puzzles encountered in the pursuit of the non-mainstream concept of the character image in the novel Maurice.This paper probes into the pursuit and puzzlement of the character image to the non-mainstream concept from three aspects: the concept of religion, the view of class and the idea of sexual orientation.This paper mainly analyzes the process of non-mainstream thoughts and the reasons and manifestations of the puzzlement of characters in the pursuit of non-mainstream ideas.The pursuit of non-mainstream concepts and the solution of puzzles in characters reflect Foster's humanistic concern.This paper consists of five parts.The first chapter explains the present situation, theory and writing purpose of the novel, and points out the feasibility of analyzing the characters from the perspective of others.The second chapter first explains the "other", points out the meaning of the "other" and the scholars' exposition of the "other" so far; then, in the aspect of religious belief,Class concept and sexual orientation of the analysis of non-mainstream concept of the character image.The third chapter analyzes the process of pursuing religious belief, class concept and sexual orientation in the image of Maurice, Clive, Alec and so on.The existence of rigid and conservative problems in the mainstream values leads to the pursuit of the non-mainstream concepts of religion, class and sexual orientation by the characters of Maurice, Clive, Alec and so on.The fourth chapter analyzes the confusion in the pursuit of non-mainstream concepts.In this process, the mainstream concept brings external oppression and inner pain, which makes the characters of Maurice, Clive and other characters in the pursuit full of confusion.In the fifth chapter, the author points out that "Maurice" presents a group of non-mainstream thoughts in Britain during the social transformation in the early 20th century, and Foster's thought of humanistic care provides a useful way of thinking for the correct treatment of groups with non-mainstream thoughts.
