《福》的多义性主题及其叙事策略解读

【摘要】:约翰.麦克斯韦尔.库切(John Maxwell Coetzee)是当代南非最著名的小说家之一。作为一个在南非出生的荷裔白人作家,他亲眼见证了南非由殖民主义统治进入民族政权建立的全过程。这一堪称伟大历史时期的新变革,也给库切的创作带来了丰硕的素材。 库切于1986年创作的小说《福》可被看作是对英国现实主义作家丹尼尔.笛福《鲁滨逊漂流记》的后现代重写。《福》在人物形象塑造、情节设置等方面都带有明显的后现代小说特征。小说以一个女性叙述者苏珊的眼光讲述她自身的荒岛经历。库切借用了后现代主义的各种叙事策略,试图消解传统现实主义小说对历史真实性的叙述,揭露了历史写作中的权力结构,最终达成颠覆帝国主义文化霸权的目的。 同其他经典文学作品一样,《福》所传达的主题意义也并不是单向恒定的。从《福》的小说文本出发,可以透视作品中所表现出的多义性主题思想,正是这种多义性的主题造就了作品丰富的艺术表现力,使作品具有了与众不同的魅力。同时,从小说文本在叙事学研究范畴中可以见出这些多义性主题在表现时所运用的叙事策略。 本文共分为五个部分。绪论介绍作者库切的生平和小说创作、库切小说国内外研究情况以及本论文的研究对象和研究方法;第一部分介绍库切的小说创作观,指出库切在继承以卡夫卡、贝克特为代表的欧洲文学传统基础上,形成了自己独特的小说观,对南非文学的发展起到一种革新作用;第二部分详细述评小说《福》的多义性主题,运用互文性理论,从人物、情节等方面分析《福》与笛福的作品,《福》与库切其它小说之间形成的互文对照,指出:这种互文性的写作策略取代了现实生活和作者意图,成为小说的意义生成之渊;第三部分着重分析小说的叙事策略,以热奈特的叙事学理论为依据,分析《福》中的叙事视角、叙事声音以及叙事时间,进一步揭示了叙事中的权力结构。结语部分则在总结全文的基础上,揭示这部小说的现实意义。
[Abstract]:John. Maxwell. John Maxwell Coetzeeis one of the most famous novelists in contemporary South Africa. As a white Dutch writer born in South Africa, he witnessed the whole process from colonial rule to nation-building in South Africa. This can be called a great historical period of new changes, but also to the creation of Kuche rich material. Kuche's 1986 novel "Blessing" can be seen as a realist to the English writer Daniel. The post-modern rewriting of "Robinson Crusoe" by Defoe. "Fu" has obvious postmodern novel features in character shaping, plot setting and so on. The novel tells the story of her own desert island in the eyes of Susan, a female narrator. By borrowing various narrative strategies of postmodernism, Kuche tries to dispel the narrative of historical authenticity in traditional realistic novels, exposes the power structure in historical writing, and finally achieves the goal of subverting imperialist cultural hegemony. As with other classical literature, the meaning of the theme conveyed by the "blessing" is not one-way constant. Starting from the novel text of "Fu", we can see through the theme thought of polysemy in the works. It is this kind of polysemous theme that makes the works rich in artistic expression and makes the works have a distinctive charm. At the same time, the narrative strategies used in the performance of these polysemous themes can be seen from the narratology of the novel texts. This paper is divided into five parts. The introduction introduces the author's life and novel creation, the domestic and foreign research situation of Kuche's novels, the research object and research methods of this thesis, the first part introduces Kuche's view of novel creation, and points out that Kuche is inheriting Kafka. On the basis of the tradition of European literature represented by Beckett, he has formed his own unique view of novels, which plays an innovative role in the development of South African literature. The second part makes a detailed review of the polysemous theme of the novel "Fu" and applies the theory of intertextuality. This paper analyzes the intertextuality between Fu and Defoe from the aspects of characters and plot, and points out that this intertextuality takes the place of real life and author's intention. The third part focuses on the narrative strategy of the novel, based on Genett's narratology theory, analyzes the narrative perspective, the narrative sound and the narrative time in "blessing". It further reveals the power structure in narration. The conclusion part reveals the practical significance of the novel on the basis of summing up the full text.
