【摘要】：乔伊斯·卡罗尔·欧茨(Joyce Carol Oates)是一位享有世界声誉的美国女作家,获得过多个国际奖项。其作品题材广泛、表现手法丰富多样。本论文旨在研究《光明天使》的成长主题,重点分析欧茨《光明天使》这部小说中的人物形象和他们成长的心路历程及其所反映的社会现实,并且在文本的基础上对小说深层次的文化内涵与社会意义进行探寻,为青少年的成长和教育提供启示。本文共分为四章。第一章分析《光明天使》中成长主题的表现。这部作品中的成长主人公缺乏可以为其指明道路的成长榜样。成长者不仅没有正确的男性成长榜样,也缺乏温馨母爱的抚慰,最终迷失了自我,并且误入歧途,沦为恐怖主义的牺牲品。另外,本章分析了作者为表现成长主人公的迷失所运用的隐喻与象征的修辞手法。第二章分析《光明天使》中成长问题的呈现。着重分析了女性成长欲望的压抑与释放以及小说中纷繁复杂的人际关系。其中,女性成长欲望的分析以小说主人公伊莎贝尔和柯尔斯顿这对母女为主要对象,采用文本细读的方式进行阐述。第三章试图阐释《光明天使》这部小说反映出的当代社会现实。着重分析异化的愈演愈烈和家庭观念的日益淡薄所带来的新问题。另外触及到对青年人的心理现实的反映,其中重点分析了女性自我意识的进一步觉醒。第四章旨在探讨《光明天使》成长主题的意义和对现实的启示。其中重点探讨了反叛的意义和社会对青少年尤其是女性的教育应该加以注意的地方。这部分目的在于呼唤人们对家庭教育的重视和探讨对成长应该持有的态度。结语部分指出,欧茨的作品多与社会背景紧密联系,而且涉及到对整个人类生存处境和命运的思考。她对文字技巧和修辞手法的运用如鱼得水,其中真意却是旨在唤醒读者看清现实。欧茨笔下的故事也许阴暗、暴力,但背后隐藏的却是对全人类美好明天的向往和对爱与宽容的呼吁。
[Abstract]:Joyce Carol Oatesi is a world-renowned American woman writer who has won several international awards. His works have a wide range of subjects and various methods of expression. The purpose of this thesis is to study the theme of the growing up of Angel of Light, and to analyze the characters and the process of their growth and the social reality reflected in the novel. On the basis of the text, the author explores the profound cultural connotation and social significance of the novel, and provides enlightenment for the growth and education of young people. This paper is divided into four chapters. The first chapter analyzes the expression of growth theme in Angel of Light. The protagonist in this work lacks an example of growth that can show him the way. The growers not only do not have the correct male growth model, but also lack the comfort of the warm maternal love. They lose themselves and go astray and fall victim to terrorism. In addition, this chapter analyzes the rhetorical devices of metaphor and symbolism used by the author to express the loss of the growing protagonist. The second chapter analyzes the problem of growth in Angel of Light. This paper focuses on the suppression and release of female growth desire and the complicated interpersonal relationship in the novel. Among them, the analysis of female growth desire takes Isabel and Kirsten, the protagonists of the novel, as the main objects. Chapter three attempts to explain the contemporary social reality reflected in the novel the Angel of Light. Focus on the growing alienation and family concepts brought about by the new problems. In addition, it touches on the reflection of the psychological reality of young people, which focuses on the further awakening of female self-consciousness. The fourth chapter aims to explore the significance of the growing theme of Angel of Light and its enlightenment to reality. It mainly discusses the significance of rebellion and the education of young people, especially women. The purpose of this part is to call attention to family education and discuss the attitude towards growth. In the conclusion, it is pointed out that Oates' works are closely related to the social background, and involve the consideration of the whole human being's living situation and destiny. Her use of verbal skills and rhetorical devices is as good as water, but the real purpose is to awaken readers to see the reality. The story of Oates may be dark and violent, but behind it lies the yearning for a better tomorrow for all mankind and the appeal for love and tolerance.
