从文学文体学角度解读《绿山墙的安妮》

【摘要】:本论文以文学文体学作为理论基础研究加拿大小说《绿山墙的安妮》中的文体特征。《绿山墙的安妮》是加拿大女作家露西莫德蒙哥马利的代表作品,这部经典的世界儿童文学作品使其作者名声大振并跻身于世界知名作家之列。在1908年第一部安妮小说出版并获得巨大成功后,蒙哥马利又陆续出版了另外七部安妮系列小说,但其中获得最多青睐的仍然是《绿山墙的安妮》,该作品以其清新而纯净的文风、温馨而感人的故事情节唤起亿万读者内心深处的感动与共鸣。小说的主人公安妮给晚年孤苦的马克·吐温带来无限安慰,这位文学大师曾称赞安妮是“继不朽的爱丽丝之后最令人喜爱的儿童角色”。时至今日,安妮的魅力依旧不减。除了以各种形式被搬上荧幕之外,在学术界的影响也日趋扩大,中外学者对该小说的研究范围与侧重点也在不断外延、不断完善。本论文以整篇文本作为研究对象,就文本的各个层面的文体风格及特点进行归纳分析,并结合小说中相关片段加以举例说明。从而,通过小说文体层面的分析研究,论证小说作为世界经典作品所具备的独特的美学价值。 文体学通过分析文体各要素如语音、词汇、句法、文本、情境,以及叙述视角、思想表达方式、修辞手法等不同的文体模式及风格,利用语言学相关方法研究不同的文体风格对于语言在不同情境下具体应用的影响与作用,旨在以语言为对象研究文本,从而得出更为理性、更为客观的文体分析。作为文体学的一个分支,文学文体学则专注于文学作品中的文学语言文体风格的研究。作为文学与语言学两大学科间的桥梁,文学文体学旨在运用语言学的相关理论方法,以文学语言为研究对象,对整部文学作品进行文体分析,从而得出客观而理性的文学评价,更全面地展示文学作品的美学价值,为文学评论提供一条文学欣赏的新途径,同时也使语言学和文体学两大学科今后的发展更加完善、对于两学科的研究更加全面。 本论文由三部分组成。第一部分为引言。简要介绍本文所研究作品《绿山墙的安妮》的国内外相关研究现状,同时提出本文的论点并阐释其研究目的及创新意义。 第二部分为论文主体,,共分为三章。第一章为理论基础。本章节介绍文体学的概况,包括文体学的概念阐释以及该学科在国内外的发展历程和发展现状。在初步了解文体学的基础上,介绍本论文的理论支撑--文学文体学的相关理论及方法,从而勾勒出论文的基本理论框架。通过研究小说作者露西莫德蒙哥马利的写作风格以及对其风格成因的探寻,从而为文学文体学相关理论与小说作品《绿山墙的安妮》的更好结合做好铺垫和准备。 第二章从文学文体学的角度对小说进行了词汇、句法、语篇、语境等四个方面的文体模式分析。在词汇层面,大量自然方面名词的运用、连续动态动词的采用以及评论性和描述性形容词的应用使小说中自然环境的描写更为丰富、人物的塑造更为生动饱满,同时,也使小说整体语言的文学特点更为鲜明。在句法层面,长短句的交替使用增强了小说语言的层次感及节奏感。在语篇层面,从文本中语言的连贯与衔接两方面分析人物的性格特点以及所表达的思想主题。在语境层面,从文本中话语的范围、基调和方式三方面分析作品中所体现的文体特征。 第三章从小说的文体学风格入手,分析小说的叙述视角、话语思想表达方式以及修辞格的运用。小说的叙述视角以第三人称的全知型叙述者为主,从而详略结合地勾勒出小说人物形象。作为小说作品中主要的话语表达方式,直接引语与间接引语的结合以及长短句的交替运用丰富了小说的语言层次。本部分重点剖析修辞格在小说中景物描写及人物塑造方面所起到的独特作用,结合作品中实例加以阐释。 第三部分为全文的总结。本部分归纳了本研究在作品各个文体层次的发现,并指出研究过程中的局限之处,最后就研究局限给出相应的建议及提出应用文学文体学的相关理论方法分析文学作品的必要性及意义。从文学文体学角度分析《绿山墙的安妮》为该作品的研究开辟了一条新道路, 也为研究蒙哥马利的写作风格及写作特点提供了新的依据。通过文学文体学的相关理论对小说作品进行文体分析,了解其在词汇选择、句子结构及文本特征等方面的文体建构,从而揭示文体风格对于文学作品在主题阐释以及增强表达效果方面所起到的积极作用与影响。此外,针对文学作品语言的文体研究有助于提高英语学习者对英语文学作品及英语语言文化的欣赏水平,从而促进英语学习的兴趣和效率。
[Abstract]:This thesis is based on literary stylistics as a theoretical basis for the study of the stylistic features of Anne in the Canadian wall. "Anne of Green Gables" is a representative work of Lucy Maude Montgomery, a Canadian woman writer. This classic world children's literature makes his author fame and rank among the world's famous writers. In 1908, it was the most famous writer. After the publication and great success of a Anne's novel, Montgomerie has published another seven Anne series of novels, but the most popular of them is Anne of the green wall, which arouses the hearts of hundreds of millions of readers with their fresh and pure style, warm and touching stories. The master's public security Nie has brought infinite comfort to the lonely Mark Twin in his later years. The master of literature once praised Anne as "the most favorite role of children after the immortal Alice." to this day, Anne's charm remains undiminished. In addition to being moved to the screen in various forms, the influence of the academic world is also increasing, Chinese and foreign scholars. The research scope and focus of the novel are constantly extending and improving. This thesis takes the whole text as the research object, analyzes the stylistic style and characteristics of the various levels of the text, and illustrates the related fragments in the novel, thus demonstrating the novel as the world through the analysis and study of the literary style. The unique aesthetic value of the classical works.
Stylistics, through analyzing various stylistic elements such as phonetics, vocabulary, syntax, text, situation, and narrative perspective, ideological expression, rhetorical devices and other stylistic patterns and styles, uses linguistic methods to study the influence and effect of different stylistic styles on the specific application of language in different situations, aiming at language as the object. As a branch of stylistics, literary stylistics, as a branch of stylistics, focuses on the study of literary style in literary works. As a bridge between literature and linguistics, literary stylistics aims to use the relevant theoretical methods of linguistics to use literary language as a literary language. For the research object, a stylistic analysis of the whole literary works is carried out to obtain an objective and rational literary evaluation, to provide a more comprehensive display of the aesthetic value of literary works, to provide a new way of literary appreciation for literary criticism, and to further improve the development of the two universities in Linguistics and stylistics and to study the two subject more. This thesis consists of three parts. The first part is an introduction. It briefly introduces the domestic and foreign research status of the Anne > the Green Gables, and puts forward the thesis and explains its research purpose and innovation significance.
The second part is the main body of the paper, which is divided into three chapters. The first chapter is the theoretical basis. This chapter introduces the general situation of stylistics, including the interpretation of the concept of stylistics and the development and development of the subject at home and abroad. On the basis of a preliminary understanding of the stylistics, it introduces the theoretical support of this thesis -- the related theories and methods of literary stylistics. Thus, the basic theoretical framework of the thesis is outlined. Through the study of Lucy Maude Montgomery's writing style and his exploration of the causes of his style, a better combination of the related theories of literary stylistics and the novel "the green wall Anne" is prepared and prepared.
The second chapter carries out a literary stylistic analysis of the novel from the perspective of literary stylistics, including vocabulary, syntax, discourse and context. At the lexical level, the use of a large number of nouns of nature, the use of continuous dynamic verbs, and the application of commentary and descriptive adjectives make the description of the natural environment more abundant and the plastic of the characters. At the syntactical level, the alternate use of long and short sentences strengthens the sense of hierarchy and rhythm of the novel language at the syntactic level. In the discourse level, the characteristics of the character and the theme of the characters are analyzed from the two aspects of the coherence and cohesion of the text. This paper analyzes the stylistic features of the works from three aspects: the scope, tone and way of discourse.
The third chapter, starting with the stylistic style of the novel, analyzes the narrative perspective of the novel, the expression of the discourse and the use of the rhetorical figure. The narrative perspective of the novel is based on the omniscient narrator of the third person, so that the characters of the novel are outlined in detail. The combination of indirect speech and the alternate use of long and short sentences enrich the language level of the novel. This part focuses on the unique role played by the rhetorical figures in the description and characterization of the scenes in the novel, and explains the examples in the works.
The third part is the summary of the full text. This part sums up the findings of this study at various levels of the works, and points out the limitations of the study, and finally gives the corresponding suggestions on the limitations of the study and the necessity and significance of analyzing the literary works by applying the relevant theoretical methods of literary stylistics. Anne of Green Gables opens up a new path for the study of this work.
It also provides a new basis for the study of Montgomerie's writing style and writing characteristics. Through the related theories of literary stylistics, this paper makes a stylistic analysis of the novel works, and understands its stylistic construction in terms of vocabulary selection, sentence structure and text features, thus revealing the style and style of literary works in the interpretation of the theme and the enhancement of expression. In addition, the stylistic study of the language of literary works helps to improve the level of English learners' appreciation of English literary works and English language and culture, thus promoting the interest and efficiency of English learning.
