《藻海无边》中安托瓦内特自我身份的探寻

【摘要】：著名英国女作家简·里斯（Jean Rhys,1890~1979）被誉为20世纪最杰出的小说家之一。她于1966年凭借《藻海无边》获得英国皇家文学会奖，1967年又获W.H.施密斯奖，并被接纳为英国皇家文学会会员。《藻海无边》的巨大成功，得益于她对《简爱》一书的深刻理解，也表达了她对被幽禁在顶楼上的疯女人安托瓦内特（Antoinette）的无比同情，甚至《藻海无边》中的主人公从姓名到命运都与《简爱》中的某些情节有着惊人的相似之处。本文试图从自我身份认同角度来解读女主人公安托瓦内特一步步走向癫疯，最终被折磨得精神崩溃而放火自尽的悲惨一生。本文指出安托瓦内特在种族、婚姻和性别三方面陷入身份认同危机，如模棱两可的种族身份、婚姻生活中姓名的缺场和经济上的受控、女性权利的丧失等。通过分析这些繁杂的因素，本文旨在揭示十九世纪女性在英帝国父权制社会下遭受肉体和心灵双重压迫，不被社会文化生活所接受，既受到黑人的仇视，又受白人贵族的鄙视的悲惨命运。但在陷入身份危机的同时，她并没有安于现状，而是在种族、婚姻和性别这三个方面不断追寻自我的身份认同。本文通过对女主人公与朋友和家人的关系、对婚姻的重新认识等的分析，最终重塑了安托瓦内特的黑人身份。本文由五个部分构成，，除引言和结语外，第二章主要分析了国内外有关《藻海无边》的研究现状，并介绍了身份认同理论的主要观点。作为论文的主体，第三章论述了小说的女主人公安托瓦内特的认同危机及其原因，主要从种族危机、婚姻危机和女性危机这三个方面进行分析。第四章论述了安托瓦内特在种族、婚姻和女性方面的身份追寻。通过以上分析，本文旨在引起读者对人与人之间关系问题的探寻和深思，希望在帮助弱势群体重塑自我身份和获得归属感方面有所启发。
[Abstract]:Jean Rhysn, a famous British woman writer, was praised as one of the most outstanding novelists in the 20th century. She won the Royal Society of Literature Award in 1966 and W.H. in 1967. The Schmitt Award, which was accepted as a member of the Royal Literary Society, was a great success thanks to her profound understanding of Jane Eyre and her unparalleled sympathy for Antoinette, a madwoman imprisoned on the top floor. Even the protagonist in the Sea of algal Seas, from name to fate, bears striking similarities to some of the plots in Jane Eyre. This paper attempts to interpret the heroine Antoinette's tragic life of being insane from the perspective of self-identity and finally suffering from mental collapse and setting herself on fire. This paper points out that Antoinette is in the crisis of identity in the aspects of race, marriage and gender, such as ambiguous racial identity, lack of name in marriage and economic control, loss of women's rights, etc. Through the analysis of these complicated factors, this paper aims to reveal that in the 19th century, women were oppressed both physically and spiritually in the patriarchal society of the British Empire, not accepted by social and cultural life, and thus hated by blacks. A miserable fate despised by the white nobles. But at the same time, she was not content with the status quo, but in the three aspects of race, marriage and gender. Through the analysis of the relationship between heroine and friends and family, and the re-understanding of marriage, this paper reconstructs Antoinette's black identity. This paper is composed of five parts. In addition to the introduction and the conclusion, the second chapter mainly analyzes the domestic and foreign research on "the boundless sea of algae", and introduces the main viewpoints of identity theory. As the main body of the thesis, the third chapter discusses the heroine Antoinette's identity crisis and its causes, mainly from the racial crisis, marriage crisis and female crisis. Chapter four discusses Antoinette's identity pursuit in race, marriage and women. Through the above analysis, this paper aims to cause readers to explore and reflect on the relationship between people, hoping to help the vulnerable groups to re-establish their own identity and obtain a sense of belonging.
