【摘要】：《跟着错误女神回家》是新加坡当代最有影响力的英语女作家之一的林宝音的又一畅销作品,尽管充满争议,但不可否认的是其深刻的现实意义。国内目前还没有就这一作品进行专门的研究。本论文将从身份认同理论这一角度,来探讨这部小说中的人物身份认同主题,展示新加坡人在全球化背景下对自我身份定位的困惑,进一步加深对当今新加坡社会的了解。该小说主要围绕女主角尹灵的爱情婚姻生活而展开,通过描述她和两个男人——新加坡未婚夫文森(Vincent)与美国教授本(Ben)之间的感情纠葛,来展示其自我身份的追寻和内心成长历程。尹灵生于一个混杂的家庭。她与母亲关系紧张僵硬,而与来自中国的奶妈亲密无间,从小就听着奶妈讲中国的故事和中国的神以及关于中国的迷信活动,然而她又同时接受的是国际化的新加坡高等教育。其跨文化的成长背景,正是新加坡的一个缩影。尹灵的情感历程和神像的回家之路紧密相连,构成整部小说的叙事线索。尹灵的身份问题包涵三个层次的内容,依次是文化认同,族群认同和性别角色认同。其身份认同困惑的具体表现为婚姻生活中的数个二元对立元素：东方与西方,自我与他者,男性与女性。这些相互冲突而又相互联系的对立面恰好是其身份困惑的体现。尹灵三重身份认同困惑的内容不是孤立存在的,而是相互联系的。而成长环境的混杂,多种价值观的冲击以及来自父权社会的压力是构成其身份认同困惑的根源。神像的无家可归则是尹灵身份归属感缺失的真实写照。尹灵深受老仆人中国传统文化的熏陶,内心获得莫大的支持,这是其不可磨灭的族裔文化影响的必然,但是作为英语文化培养起来的硕士,身上也带有西方自由,独立,勇敢精神的烙印,却也在西方物质至上,实用主义原则影响下迷失自我身份。父权社会压抑下的女性意识和才华让其丧失自我的价值。其在身份问题上的反思与追求最终实现了身份重建。
[Abstract]:"go home with the Goddess of error" is another best-selling work by Lin Baoyin, one of Singapore's most influential contemporary English female writers. Although controversial, it is undeniable that it has profound practical significance. At present, there is no special research on this work in China. From the perspective of identity theory, this thesis will explore the theme of identity of characters in this novel, demonstrate Singaporeans' confusion about their self-identity in the context of globalization, and further deepen their understanding of Singapore society today. The novel, which revolves around the love and marriage life of the heroine Yin Ling, describes the relationship between her and two men, (Vincent), a Singaporean fiance, and Ben (Ben), an American professor. To show his pursuit of self-identity and inner growth process. Yin Ling was born into a mixed family. She had a tense relationship with her mother and a close relationship with a nurse from China, who had been listening to Chinese stories and Chinese gods as well as superstitious activities about China since childhood, but she was also receiving international higher education in Singapore. Its cross-cultural background is a microcosm of Singapore. Yin Ling's emotional process is closely connected with the idol's way home, which constitutes the narrative clue of the whole novel. Yin Ling's identity includes three levels: cultural identity, ethnic identity and gender role identity. Its identity confusion is manifested in several binary opposing elements in marital life: East and West, self and other, male and female. These conflicting and interrelated opposites are just the embodiment of their identity confusion. Yin Ling's triple identity confusion is not isolated, but interrelated. The mixed growing environment, the impact of various values and the pressure from the patriarchal society are the root of its identity confusion. The homelessness of the idol is the true portrayal of Yin Ling's lack of sense of belonging. Yin Ling was deeply influenced by the Chinese traditional culture of the old servant, and received great support from his heart. This is the inevitable influence of his indelible ethnic culture. But as a master of English culture, he also has the freedom and independence of the West. The imprint of the brave spirit, however, also lost its identity under the influence of the western material supremacy and pragmatism principle. The female consciousness and talent suppressed by patriarchal society make them lose their own value. Its reflection and pursuit on identity issues finally realized identity reconstruction.
